Idia has equipped the Harveston Tunic! Jing-a-ling ♪ Cold resistance increased by 60%!
Deuhehe... Never would've thought I'd get the chance to wear one of these traditional outfits. Sir Epel's quite the thoughtful one!

Sebek

He sure is excited. I never would've expected this from Idia based on his usual behaviour.

Jade
Jade

Agreed. I was so certain he would have absolutely no interest in traditional wear of this sort.

Fuhee… That's because these are the same outfits worn by the heroines of Love Sled!

And the blue of this outfit in particular! It's the same colour that represents my best girl, Ai, and…

Done changing, Epel? Your outfit seems to be quite different from the rest of ours.
It looks very puffy and fluffy... Like the embodiment of the very clouds themselves.

Epel
Epel
|
Th-Thank you for your kind words. You're kind of embarrassing me a bit, though...I guess.
The clothes I'm wearing now were sewn for me by my grandma, actually.
In fact, all your outfits were hand-made by all the villagers.

Jade

Is that so? Their workmanship is absolutely gorgeous.

It's both warm and practical too.

We have a custom of knitting winterwear whenever the snowfall gets too heavy for farmwork to be done.
The designs and patterns differ from person to person, so we even hold exhibits to show off what we've knitted every year.

I see. Such is a way to spend time indoors productively even if one is unable to go out to work.

The villagers we saw along Harvest Highway weren't wearing these outfits, were they?
|
Epel
Epel
|
Right. They're tough to make and maintain, so nowadays, it's only really the Kelkkarotu participants that wear them.
That's been the case ever since ready-made clothes that are a lot easier to care for spread through the village. But the villagers do still love these outfits.
This traditional clothing is known as Apple Boa.
The name originally referred to the pom-pom on the hat that's shaped after an apple…
But over time, people began to refer to the entire outfit itself as Apple Boa instead.
Look, my hat has apple ornaments instead of a pom-pom on it, doesn't it?
|
Jade
Jade
|
It does indeed. It's incredibly adorable, actually.
|
Epel
Epel
|
Ador…?!
I mean, that's not so bad, either, but I was kinda hoping you would say something about how like...cool it is 'cause it's like I'm bearing my village's legacy on my shoulders or something...
Or even that it's cool because you can feel the enthusiasm everyone has for Kelkkarotu through it. Does it not give you that sort of impression?
|
Jade
Jade
|
Indeed, the outfit is very cool because of how it creates this sense of you bearing Harveston's legacy on your shoulders, while also getting across that enthusiasm you all have towards Kelkkarotu.

Hehehe. The pom-poms on our hats are simply adorable as well. I've taken quite the liking to them.

Oh yeah, back when I was a kid, I accidentally pulled off one of those pom-poms because I kept messing with it.
And then Nannan…Grandma got so mad at me.

The nice texture does tempt one to continue touching it.

Such frivolous decoration will only be a hassle when doing vigorous exercise. I think it would be perfectly fine to remove.

The pom-pom was originally meant to protect the top of one's head, actually.
|
Sebek
Sebek
|
What...? Well, that certainly changes matters.
If that's the case, then it'd also be a good idea to attach pom-poms to my official escort uniform.
|
Jade
Jade
|
That would…make quite the fancy appearance.
I have become more fond of the gorgeous stitchwork than the warmth the clothing provides.
The snowflake and apple design certainly feels very Harveston.
In addition, the brooches we have on our chests are splendid in their own charming way.
|
Epel
Epel

The first things that come to mind when you bring up Harveston are apples and snow, after all. The brooches are also designed after them.
