The harsh and steep road to cooking… Many a hardship will befall those on their journey to reach the top.
Through a merciless and just trial, will it be despair or happiness that you achieve?
…Alright! With that out of the way, is everyone who’s participating in Master Chef all ready to go?
I believe you all should have carefully read the syllabus before registering for this, but let’s go over the program now.
Let’s see… Ahem!
Master Chef is a class where you can learn cooking techniques by helping out in the cafeteria.
You all get to eat delicious food in the cafeteria right now, but once you leave the dorms, you’ll have to cook for yourself.
It’ll get expensive if you’re only ever eating out, and eating nothing but your favorite foods will make for a very unbalanced diet.
If you were to wreck your body and soul by doing that… then it would be entirely impossible to succeed as a mage!
Let’s have you learn all about nutrition and different foods so that you can live long, healthy, and independent lives.
You need credits in not just your required courses, but also in electives if you want to graduate from Night Raven College.
If you have a strong showing at the Master Chef cooking competition, you’ll earn one elective credit.
So captivate the judges with your delicious food, and get both those new cooking skills and your class credits!
Also, the judges will be selected randomly from the students and staff the day of the competition.
Why do we have a system like that…? Well…
When we pick the judges ahead of time, students keep trying to cheat and make deals with them to get their credits!
Honestly, why are you all so devious? …Oh, I got off track.
Right, right. There’s also a benefit unique to the Master Chef program that I’m sure you’ll be pleased to hear.
While this may be part of the class, you’ll be helping out in the cafeteria. In other words, you’re doing labor for us…
And so, you’ll all be paid for working part-time!
You’ll get to learn the importance of working a job through Master Chef.
Goodness, aren’t I so generous? No need to thank me. I’m so very kind, after all!
Now, I’ll introduce the ghost chefs who will be coaching you through this.
