You seemed calm and collected while we were searching for them throughout the ghost world, but were you thinking about that the whole time?

…I was losing my mind trying to find them as quick as we possibly could.
So I couldn't think about anything else at the time, but the second things calmed down…
I remembered something in the moment when they stood in our path as enemies.
If we were to become so distantly separated, or I were to lose my life, meaning I'd never see them again…that would be how we said farewell.

At least that's what I thought, but now I realize that there's also a chance that we say our farewells by becoming enemies.
I doubt we'd stand a chance if Lilia and Lord Malleus were to use their full power. Despite knowing that I took up my blade earlier.
Thinking that were being possessed by something instilled the sense that it was my duty to bring them back to their senses.
However, if Lilia and Lord Malleus chose to become our enemies of their own free will…
…would I be able to stand against them? Would I even be able to turn my blade against them?

Ah, I'm sorry. I brought up a subject that isn't appropriate for a party like this.

That's not what stunned me, this is just the first time I've heard you worry about anything. You just surprised me.

Same! You've got this crazy cool thing going on, so you caught me off guard with this other side of you.

I surprised myself, as well. I've never felt this kind of anxiety before.
Lilia and Lord Malleus put on this party for us…but I don't know if I can bring myself to dance.
Cater, Jamil, feel free to leave me be and go enjoy Halloween.

Nnn… As a member of the Halloween planning committee I can't just do nothing when someone's looking all down.
Besides, I've been a busy bee, taking photos and videos of the party, so I'm ready for a break.
I know! We can listen to what's bothering you if you want.
They say that talking about what's on your mind will help you feel a lot better.

…Wait? You want me here too?!
Please don't drag me into things as you see fit.

Oh, you'll be fine. Aren't you curious about what goes on in Diasomnia? They're so freaking mysterious.
We might even hear so juicy little tidbits about the Malleus Draconia.

I couldn't give two cares about that. Well, I suppose I was just getting food for Kalim.
…If talking about this will help you feel better, then I'll stick around too.

You guys…
Thank you. That said, I really have no idea where to start.

Let me think… Oh, aren't you and Lilia close enough to be family? How long have you know each other?
|
Silver

I've known both Lilia and Lord Malleus for as long as I can remember. They've always taken care of me.
Sebek I've known for over 10 years.
Sebek's grandfather and my father were close friends, so one day my father brought Sebek on as another pupil.

Knowing someone that long is crazy.
Cay here doesn't have anybody like a childhood friend or close enough to call family in his life.

I like to keep things casual and enviable. There hasn't been a time where I've felt any strong ties to the places I've moved to.

There weren't many kids my age in the Valley of Thorns,
but Lilia and everyone made sure we spent a lot of time together, so I never felt lonely.
I trained with Sebek and Lord Malleus would sometimes sneak out to come visit us. It was all so much fun.
Somewhere inside me, I'd made the assumption that these peaceful days would never end.
…I never considered that a day would come when I'd have to say good-bye to this peace.

Well, it's not like you really had any time to prepare yourself for this whole incident.

…Silver, Jamil, you hardly ever have time to prepare yourself for saying goodbye.
