Silver is a second-year student in Diasomnia who guards Malleus like a knight. Though normally taciturn and composed, he occasionally appears to be very drowsy.

Appearance
Silver is a young man with chin-length silver-grey hair and bangs. A stray strand of hair sticks out on his head. He has unique-colored eyes that are described by Vil as "aurora-colored."[1] He is fair-skinned and has muscular arms from sword training. He wears his school uniform with the top button unbuttoned. According to several characters, Silver is quite handsome and has some princely charms.
Personality
Silver is a serious and reserved person who is diligent in whatever he does. He devotes himself to becoming a knight for Malleus in order to repay him and Lilia for raising him, and he practices his sword fighting skills. He often expresses his love for Lilia, whom he calls "Old Man" (親父殿, Oyaji-dono), through the stories that he narrates about him to his fellow schoolmates.
His tendency to fall asleep at any moment causes exasperation for those around him. Silver himself is bothered by this, and he would do anything to remedy this. This is seen in his Lab story, where he, Kalim, and Jamil create a waking up potion for Silver. He is generally laid-back, but he becomes cautious and even hostile when it comes to the safety of Malleus, as seen in his Ceremonial Robe story where he aims his baton at Idia for being a suspicious person.

Unique Magic

Silver's unique magic is called "Meet in a Dream" (同じ夢を見よう; lit. "Let’s Share the Same Dream"). It allows him to enter other people’s dreams and the dream corridor that exists between dreams. This dream corridor takes the form of a vast sky. If the target's connection to him is strong, it becomes easier for Silver to enter their dream. According to Silver, dreams are an imaginary world in a person's heart which holds memories and forms wishes. As such, he cannot access or read the mind of the person whose dream he has entered. It should be noted that due to the uncertain nature of dreams, Silver himself does not have a firm understanding of how dreams or his unique magic work.[2] This unique magic does not consume a lot of Silver's magic.
This unique magic comes with several limitations. Silver cannot enter the dreams of targets who have no connection with him, and is unable to choose whose dreams he wishes to access. He often forgets what happens in the dreams he enters, and it can only be used when he is asleep and aware that he is in a dream. Although the dreams he enters are essentially randomized, limited to people he is close to, and he does not know whose dream he has reached, a white light that takes the form of a bird will denote the dream's owner.

- Silver is the only named student to not have a last name.
- He, Azul, and Cater are the same height, standing at 176cm.
- According to Ruggie, Silver and Kalim have a 'frustratingly easy-going vibe'.[3]
- He attracts small animals such as birds and squirrels, who sometimes help him when he is in need, such as when he needed a specific plant for alchemy class. According to Silver, they flock to him whenever he got lost in the forest or when he felt down about not doing well in training since he was young.[4]
- Silver is one of three students (along with Kalim and Rook) to use light magic for his non-element magic.
- His sleepiness is an unknown ailment that he wishes could be cured, in his youth, Lilia took him to see many medical mages who could not give him a diagnosis.[4]
- He thinks the prefect (Yuu) has a talent for the sword.[5]
- According to Lilia, he and Sebek used to be scaredy cats, due to that Lilia had quite a bit of laundry to do after Halloween.[6]
- Cater once tried to take a picture of Silver's smile which he considered to be very prince-like.
- Silver is physically 17, but chronologically 400+ years old due to being placed in a sleep spell as a baby that kept him in stasis until he woke up and started to age again.[7]
- Furthermore, Silver was previously born with golden hair until his hair color turned silver when he was blessed by Lilia.[8]
- It is theorized that this spell has turned into a curse for Silver, as he is has no control over his drowsiness and falls asleep uncontrollably.
- Silver turns 18 years old at the end of Book 7.
- His horse in the Equestrian Club is named Samson.
- This is most likely a reference to Samson, Prince Phillip's horse steed from Disney's Sleeping Beauty.
