The Prefect (監督生 Kantoku-sei) is the player-controlled protagonist from the Twisted Wonderland game. Their default name is Yuu (ユウ), but their name can be changed by the player.
Background
The Prefect’s (Yuu) gender, age, and homeland are left ambiguous as they are a featureless protagonist controlled by the player. They are a first-year student at Night Raven College (NRC), a school for prospective mages, located in a world called Twisted Wonderland. Yuu is not a native of Twisted Wonderland nor do they possess any magical abilities. Yuu is possibly from an Earth-like world, given their dialogue options reference things like American football or traditional Japanese holidays. They are summoned to NRC without any knowledge of why or how they got there. Due to the misunderstanding and other events, they are made the prefect of Ramshackle Dorm and allowed to attend the school as ½ a student with Grim (who has magical abilities) making up the other portion.[1] Throughout the story, Yuu has odd dreams about NRC’s Great Seven that often replicate the in-game conflicts.
While game dialogue is player controlled, other characters have pointed out certain traits and characteristics of Yuu. For instance, Azul has mentioned that Yuu does not have a beautiful singing voice,[2] and Jamil has teased the prefect for being a messy eater.[3] Idia considers Yuu to be an introvert like him.[4] Others have described Yuu as a mix of cheeky, blunt, naïve and/or go with the flow. Though, Grim has also said that the prefect can be “scary” when they finally get serious.[5] In Sebek’s Ceremonial Robes story, he says Yuu has "skinny" arms, and Grim once said Vil’s legs are longer than Yuu’s. Floyd’s nickname for Yuu (“Shrimp”) is due to him thinking Yuu is smaller in comparison to himself. The prefect may also be a bit athletic as they often play basketball with Ace,[6] are chosen to make the final run for the harp during Bean Day, and are possibly good at surfing (player-dependent).[7] Silver comments they may have the potential to use a sword.[8]
Additionally, Yuu may have a talent for wind instruments. In the White Rabbit event, they can play a bugle well enough to win a prize, and they are able to play the flute (player-dependent) in the Kelkkarotu event. Yuu owns an old magical device, given by the headmaster, called the Ghost Camera.[9] The camera can take a picture of anything possessing a soul, using a fragment to create “moving” pictures that jump from the camera. Yuu often uses it to take pictures around school and during events. Sometimes acting as an interviewer or record-keeper for the headmaster. They once conducted interviews for NRC Campus News’ Birthday Specials. This may have sparked an interest in photography as Yuu enters a photo contest at Port Fest and wins a prize.[10]
In terms of relationships, Yuu gets along well with the main cast. The relationships had a rocky start due to the general egocentric, and sometimes dubious, nature of the other NRC students. They are closer to the other first-years, especially Grim, Ace and Deuce. The four hang out often and look out for each other. For instance, Yuu went against Azul in Episode Three to release Grim, Ace, and Deuce from one of Azul’s shady contracts. Deuce and Ace undertook a long trip over winter break to assist the captive prefect during the events at Scarabia. Also, Ace is the first one to be concerned about the prefect during the second Halloween event. Yuu still is the closest overall to Grim as the two are considered ½ of a whole student and live together. Over the story, particularly after the conflicts in Episodes Five and Six, Grim grows more protective of Yuu and steps in more often to defend Yuu when they are being attacked.

Prologue: Welcome to the Villains’ World
Yuu awakes in a coffin to meet Grim, trying to steal their school uniform. While running away, a confused Yuu is found by Headmaster Dire Crowley. He chides Yuu for bringing an untrained familiar (Grim) to school and explains that Yuu was chosen by the Dark Mirror to attend Night Raven College (NRC) for magical training. Yuu follows Crowley to the Mirror Hall to be assigned a dormitory. However, the Dark Mirror remarks that Yuu has no magic and suits no dorm. Grim acts out again, wanting to take Yuu’s place as a student. Yuu explains Grim is not their familiar and watches as he is removed from campus for causing chaos.
Afterwards, Crowley attempts to return Yuu to their home world but can find no records of it. Yuu doesn’t remember much about how they arrived at NRC either. He allows Yuu to stay in the dilapidated and haunted Ramshackle Dorm. Yuu meets Grim again. Both impress the headmaster by removing the Ramshackle Ghosts, who have scared previous students away. Crowley mentions that Yuu shows promise as a beast master, upgrading their status to school janitor along with Grim.
During their first day as a janitor, Yuu meets Heartslabyul students Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade. The meeting causes damage to a treasured school property. Crowley gives them all an ultimatum of retrieving a magic crystal to repair the damage or risk expulsion. Yuu rallies the group together to defeat a mysterious phantom at the Dwarfs' Mine, collecting the needed crystal. Yuu watches in shock as Grim devours a separate, black, coal-like crystal left by the phantom. Since it doesn’t seem to harm Grim, Yuu no longer comments. Crowley is impressed with Yuu as they can get the selfish NRC students to work together. He allows Yuu to attend the school with Yuu and Grim working as one student.
Episode One: The Crimson Tyrant
Yuu starts having dreams featuring the severe Queen of Hearts. One of the Great Seven that Heartslabyul is based on.
Ace arrives to complain about his problems with the dorm leader of Heartslabyul, Riddle Rosehearts. Ace broke a Queen of Hearts’ rule by eating Riddle’s tart and had his magic sealed by Riddle’s unique spell. Yuu helps Ace create a new tart to make amends with Riddle. In doing so, Yuu learns more about Heartslabyul and the other NRC dorms from Trey Clover and Cater Diamond. Deuce also tells Yuu more about his background and future goals.
Yuu later accompanies Ace and Deuce to Heartslabyul’s Unbirthday Party to deliver the tart. However, Riddle rejects the tart because it’s the wrong flavor for the party per the Queen’s rules. Eventually, Yuu and the Heartslabyul students begin to lose patience with Riddle’s severe adherence to the Queen’s rules. This culminates in Ace and Deuce challenging Riddle to a duel for leadership. One the two swiftly lose. Attending as a spectator, Yuu speaks out against Riddle and is insulted in return. This causes Ace to punch Riddle, and the other dorm students to revolt as well. Trey tries to calm Riddle, but Riddle overblots, refusing to listen to reason.
Yuu learns the dangers of overblotting from Crowley and decides to help the other students return Riddle to normal. In the aftermath, Grim eats another black crystal, seemingly left behind by Riddle’s overblot. Riddle apologizes to everyone and agrees (at Ace’s insistence) to make the tart for the next Unbirthday Party. Yuu joins the party and enjoy themselves.
Episode Two: The Rebel of the Savanna
Yuu starts to dream about the tenacious King of Beasts. One of the Great Seven that Savanaclaw is based on.
Yuu joins Grim, Ace, and Deuce for the lunchtime scramble. They watch as Grim freely gives away a hard-fought deluxe sandwich to another student, surprised that Grim willingly parted with it. Grim claims his body moved on its own. Yuu then travels to the headmaster’s office with the Ace and Deuce, where they learn more about overblotting and the upcoming inter-dorm Magical Shift (Magift) Tournament. They watch Grim express disappointment over not being able to participate due to a lack of players in Ramshackle.
A few hours later, Yuu participates in an informal Magift game with the Ramshackle Ghosts from the Prologue. Yuu cannot completely exorcise the ghosts, so they decide to live in peace with them. Crowley stops by and asks Yuu to investigate strange accidents involving the starter Magift players from each dorm. Yuu agrees after the headmaster promises he will (somehow) allow Ramshackle to play in the tournament. During their initial investigation, they team up with the Heartslabyul students, which ends in a brutal Magift game against Leona Kingscholar, Savanaclaw dorm leader, and Ruggie Bucchi.
After failing to fall asleep, Yuu sees a mysterious man with horns wandering around Ramshackle Dorm. Yuu introduces themselves, but the man will not tell Yuu his name. He lets Yuu decide on one themselves. The same night Yuu has more dreams about the King of Beasts and speculates about his motives.
The next morning Yuu speaks with Grim about the man and agrees to call the man Tsunotarou. The two then continue their investigation. Based on the earlier incident in the cafeteria, they determine the culprit is Ruggie using his unique spell to cause the accidents (at Leona’s command). Yuu gains help from Jack Howl, a first year Savanaclaw student that doesn’t like Leona’s underhanded tactics. They plan to stop Leona from targeting the Diasomnia dorm leader, Malleus Draconia at the tournament.
In the final confrontation, Leona overblots, and Yuu helps return him to normal. The Ramshackle pair are allowed to participate in a scrimmage game against Savanaclaw. Yuu is accidentally knocked unconscious by Grim and remains out for the rest of the tournament. They eventually wake up next to Leona, who is resting in the infirmary after overblotting and participating in the tournament. Leona’s nephew, Cheka, visits. Yuu can remark on Leona’s relationship with his nephew and how Leona hasn’t learned anything about using underhanded tactics. Later that night, Grim secretly eats another black crystal, and Yuu thinks they saw their room mirror glowing.
Episode Three: The Merchant of the Deep Sea
Yuu is now dreaming about the compassionate Sea Witch. One of the Great Seven that Octavinelle is based on.
Yuu participates in final exams with the other first-years. To Yuu’s shock, Grim, Ace, and Deuce all received high scores. Yuu watches the trio panic over not being in the top 50. They all sprout sea anemones on their heads and are forcefully pulled away from Yuu. Following along with Jack, Yuu discovers the other three signed a contract with Octavinelle dorm leader, Azul Ashengrotto; the contracts being enforced by the Leech Twins, Jade and Floyd. The trio are now in breach of contract and must work at Azul’s Mostro Lounge against their will.
Yuu, having left the others to their fate, is approached by Crowley to persuade Azul to release the students under contract. Crowley has been unable to stop Azul’s schemes due to loopholes. With Jack’s help, Yuu investigates Azul, but finds nothing helpful. The Leech Twins appear to persuade Yuu to make a deal with Azul. Deuce, Ace, and Grim beg Yuu to help the three out with their contracts.
In meeting Azul, Yuu offers to make a deal, which involves stealing a museum photo within three days. They offer the Ramshackle Dorm as collateral if they cannot complete the task. While the trial is ongoing, Azul forces Yuu and Grim to vacate the Ramshackle dorm. Jack takes the two back to Savanaclaw. Yuu temporarily bunks with Leona, despite his protests and attempts to scare the duo away.
Over the next three days Yuu attempts to either break into the museum or steal Azul’s contracts from his vault. They are hindered each time by the Leech Twins, and the fact the contracts seem indestructible. Around the last night, they wander to the Ramshackle dorm and meet the man with horns again. Yuu calls him Tsunotarou, which amuses him, and he makes a nonchalant comment that gives Yuu a clue to defeating Azul. Later, Yuu continues to dream about the Sea Witch’s shady contracts and wonders if their dreams are imitating reality.
Yuu finally creates a plan to defeat Azul and threatens Leona into helping by promising to ruin his sleep. Ruggie, however, speculates Leona might have a contract he wants to break as well. With Savanaclaw’s help, the contracts are destroyed, and Yuu obtains the photo from the museum. This causes Azul to overblot, and everyone bands together to stop him. After, Yuu learns more about Azul’s childhood and agrees to go with Octavinelle students to return the photo. The group then watch as Grim devours another black crystal.
The next night Yuu thanks Tsunotarou for his earlier hint, but he denies attempting to assist. Yuu then returns to their room. They hear a strange voice coming from their mirror. Not sure if they are dreaming, they dismiss the voice. At the museum, Yuu speaks with Azul and attempts to comfort him about his past insecurities. Renewed, Azul gives everyone a tour of the museum, ending with them all celebrating at the Mostro Lounge.
Episode Four: The Tactician of the Scalding Sands
Yuu begins dreaming about the deliberate Sorcerer of the Sands. One of the Great Seven that Scarabia is based on.
Yuu sees the other dorm students off for winter break. They witness Crowley abandoning them for a vacation. Yuu questions if the headmaster has found a way home for them. Crowley dodges the question, and it is implied he hasn’t tried. He gives Yuu a cell phone for emergencies. Furthermore, he promises a winter feast for bringing firewood to the school-warming fire fairies located in the cafeteria. Yuu agrees and goes to the cafeteria. They see Jamil Viper, vice dorm leader of Scarabia, leading the Scarabia dorm students in making a meal. The students hint at being forced by their dorm leader to stay at school over the winter break. Jamil invites a reluctant Yuu and a hungry Grim to Scarabia to meet the dorm leader. Yuu attempts to turn down Jamil’s invitation, but find themselves strangely unable to say “no.”
Yuu arrives at Scarabia and meets Kalim Al-Asim, the dorm leader, who takes them on a magic carpet ride. To Yuu, Kalim seems much kinder than the traditional NRC student, but they can express skepticism as well. They convince Kalim to allow the Scarabia students to return home. However, after Kalim meets privately with Jamil, he returns as a seemingly different person. He declares no one can go home, and he will be adding more training to the regimen. Jamil begs Yuu to help find out what is causing Kalim’s mood swings. Once again, Yuu has a tough time saying “No” to Jamil. They are forced to stay in Scarabia and forced to participate in the harsh training. Yuu attempts to call Crowley for assistance but is ignored. They decide to leave a message for Ace and Deuce instead.
Ultimately, Yuu and Grim escape using Kalim’s magic carpet and accidentally fly through the Octavinelle mirror gate. They encounter Azul and the Leech Twins. By choice, the trio have not left for winter break either. Yuu explains the odd situation to Azul, and he agrees to help due to his own suspicions. They all return to Scarabia and manipulate (a normal) Kalim into allowing them to join the training camp. Jamil is visibly annoyed by the intrusion. Throughout the episode, Yuu also learns more about the “friendship” between Jamil and Kalim and how each side views it.
Upon further investigation, the group discovers Jamil’s unique spell is causing Kalim’s mood swings, and Jamil also used the spell to manipulate Yuu. Exposed, Jamil overblots and sends the group deep into the desert. While Kalim blames himself for the betrayal, Yuu comments on the dysfunction between him and Jamil. They all convince him to go back and confront Jamil, working together to free Jamil of his phantom. Yuu watches as Kalim tries to make amends, but Jamil rebukes him, leaving their relationship in a tenuous state. Still, Kalim throws a banquet to celebrate Jamil’s health and the end of winter break. Yuu joins and is met by Ace and Deuce. The two received Yuu’s message but arrived too late to help. Yuu appreciates the gesture.
When Yuu returns to Ramshackle Dorm, Lilia Vanrouge, vice dorm leader of Diasomnia, delivers a holiday card to Yuu from a mystery person with the initials M.D. Yuu wonders who M.D. is before Grim calls them to the holiday feast left by Crowley. The Ramshackle Ghosts delivered the firewood while the two were away. At night, Yuu talks to the voice in the mirror. It belongs to someone named Mickey.
On the next day, the first-years bump into Epel Felmier from Pomefiore Dorm. Epel seems already upset but runs off before they can question him.
Episode Five: The Beautiful Oppressor
Yuu dreams about the unrelenting efforts of the Fairest Queen. One of the Great Seven that Pomefiore is based on.
After viewing NRC’s Great Seven statues, Yuu notices that the individuals featured resemble the villains from their dreams. Yuu mentions this and their conversations with Mickey to Ace and Deuce. However, the conversation is derailed once the group hears about the Joint Cultural Festival. Yuu learns about the festival’s Vocal and Dance Championship (VDC), which promises a large monetary prize to the winning team. They help Ace, Deuce, and Grim practice for the tryouts.
During practice, Jamil and Kalim appear. They offer to help the first-years improve their dancing and singing. With the appearance of Azul as well, Yuu uses this opportunity to follow-up with Jamil about what happened after the events at Scarabia. Jamil states things have returned to status quo for now, but he has not given up on proving himself to everyone (including Yuu). He later reminds the first-years they need to actually sign up for tryouts. This leads to Yuu meeting Rook Hunt, Pomefiore’s eccentric vice dorm leader, for the first time.
Yuu attends tryouts in support of the others and are there when the selection is made. Grim is the only one not chosen for the team. However, Yuu and Grim are still invited to the team’s practice. Crowley and Vil Schoenheit, Pomefiore’s dorm leader and the new group’s team leader, want to convince Yuu to let the team use Ramshackle as a training camp for school’s VDC team called the NRC Tribe. The group consists of Ace, Deuce, Jamil, Kalim, Vil, Epel, and Rook. If the NRC Tribe wins, Yuu will be given a portion of the money to repair Ramshackle Dorm.
For the next month, Yuu contributes as the group’s “manager.” The group are often at odds over Vil’s strict training and beauty regiments. Additionally, there is still some tension between the Scarabia duo. Yuu listens to Kalim voice his frustrations over not being chosen as a main vocalist and his “friendship” with Jamil. The group finally come together as a unit before the competition. During this time, Yuu realizes that the holiday card, initialed M.D., must be from Tsunotarou. As a thank you, they give him tickets to the VDC. Tsunotarou accepts the tickets, still amused that Yuu does not know who he is. He leaves before Yuu can ask him his name again.
The day of the VDC Yuu tours the festival grounds with the Festival Committee. They learn about the cultural clubs offered at NRC before returning to the team. After rehearsals, Yuu follows Vil and sees him try to sabotage his rival, Neige LeBlance. Vil is stopped by Rook and Kalim, causing Vil to overblot when he realizes he is behaving in an “ugly” manner. Yuu joins the others in returning Vil to normal. This results in the destruction of the VDC stage. Luckily, Tsunotarou, revealed to be Malleus, repairs the stage with magic. He continues to allow Yuu to call him Tsunotarou, seemingly happy that Yuu is not bothered by his true identity. The VDC Tribe performs but loses by one point.
The episode ends with Yuu speaking to Mickey again through the mirror. Yuu takes a picture of Mickey and tries to introduce Grim. However, Yuu cannot find Grim. Yuu goes to look for him and finds him behaving aggressively after eating another black crystal. Grim attacks Yuu.
Episode Six: The Guard of the Underworld
Yuu dreams about the diligent Lord of the Underworld. One of the Great Seven that Ignihyde is based on.
They are woken by Ace and Deuce, who Yuu called earlier to discuss Grim. In the previous episode, Grim injured Yuu and ran away. The group calls the headmaster, and he tells them that Grim ate something known as crystallized blot. Crowley goes to alert the other dorm leaders, ordering Yuu to stay at Ramshackle Dorm. Yuu, along with Ace and Deuce, decide to find Grim on their own. They are unable to before the dorm leaders capture Grim. Crowley tells Yuu that Grim is not in a state to speak with them. This leaves Yuu to worry about him.
The next morning the NRC Tribe meet to discuss their loss. Vil promises to still pay the team, feeling responsible. Some of the team members donate their portion to repair Ramshackle Dorm, humbled by the dorm’s bad condition after living there for a month and also wanting to thank Yuu for their support. The peace is ruined when the robots from S.T.Y.X attack the dorm to kidnap all the students on campus that previously overblotted (including Grim). Worried about Grim and the kidnapped students, Yuu leaves with Epel and Rook to find the Island of Woe, where the S.T.Y.X headquarters is located.
They find the island and demand entry. Idia Shroud, dorm leader of Ignihyde and acting S.T.Y.X director, allows the three travelers to enter. He explains the situation and promises all the students will be able to return unharmed once testing is complete. Unfortunately, before testing is complete, Ortho Shroud, Idia’s “brother,” becomes possessed by a blotted phantom and causes Idia to overblot. The brothers release blotted phantoms and robots, causing a lockdown. Yuu, Epel, and Rook attempt to regroup with the captured students. Before doing so, they all are attacked by robots. Epel manages to save Yuu’s life by using his unique spell for the first time. The spell places Yuu asleep in a glass barrier. During this time, Yuu dreams more about the Lord of the Underworld.
After being rescued, Yuu is reunited with the captured students. Yuu asks if they have seen Grim, but they have not. They all then decide to work together to stop the Shroud brothers and rescue Grim. The students split into teams with Yuu going with the Pomefiore students. Before the three teams leave, they all awkwardly decide to do a cheer to rally everyone together; Yuu decides on the words.
While traveling through Tower One, the Pomefiore students try to comfort Yuu about Grim, and they learn more about the two dorm leaders’ friendship. Additionally, Yuu helps aim the Lightening Spear to defeat one of the titans following the group. The team finally fight their way to the bottom of S.T.Y.X., or the Gate of the Underworld. Idia uses his unique spell to open the gate, releasing more blotted phantoms. Ortho’s phantom merges with the gate phantoms, including Grim. The Pomefiore team defeats the Shroud brothers using the Lightening Spear. Yuu attempts to pull Grim out, but Vil jumps in instead to save Grim and Idia, sacrificing his youth. Yuu and Grim are tearfully reunited, and Grim apologizes for hurting Yuu.
Everyone returns to NRC where they meet the other students on the Sports Field. Yuu happily watches as Malleus uses magic to return Vil to his younger version. They are also chastised by Ace and Deuce for running off. The group heals, and Yuu temporarily moves into Pomefiore Dorm while Ramshackle Dorm undergoes renovations.
Once renovations are complete, Yuu is given a tour of their new dorm by the NRC Tribe. Crowley and the Shroud brothers visit. The brothers apologize for S.T.Y.X damaging the dorm and all the trouble on the Island of Woe. Yuu welcomes Ortho as a new NRC student, and Idia gifts Yuu a video game console with free games. They spend the rest of the evening playing video games with everyone.
The episode ends with Yuu meeting Mickey through their room mirror. They try to introduce Grim again. However, Grim is unable to see Mickey in the mirror. Mickey describes what is on the other side of the mirror and tells Yuu he saw a silver-haired person in their room while they were away.
Chapter Seven: The Ruler of the Abyss
Yuu is dreaming about the elegant Thorn Fairy. One of the Great Seven that Diasomnia is based on. This dream disturbs Yuu more than previous dreams.
Yuu rushes to the Thorn Fairy’s courtyard statue in the morning. They meet Malleus, Silver, and Sebek. They all provide Yuu with more information and opinions about the Thorn Fairy. After a flustered Lilia arrives and reminds them of class, Malleus invites Yuu to discuss the Thorn Fairy more later. The group part ways, and Yuu meets the other first-years to discuss the mirror in Yuu’s room. The first-years conclude there may be a way to send Yuu back home via their room mirror and decides to sleep over at Ramshackle to meet Mickey.
During the sleepover, everyone becomes solemn at the prospect of Yuu leaving Twisted Wonderland. Yuu cannot sleep. They see Malleus outside and decide to meet him. He shares a bittersweet memory from his childhood with Yuu, in which Yuu remarks how he must have been lonely. Yuu tells him they may have a way to return home, but comments that the thought of leaving everyone behind makes them sad. This resonates with Malleus, who is upset that Lilia is leaving him as well. He asks Yuu, if there was a way that they didn’t have to leave friends or family behind, would they wish for it. Yuu agrees in a way and returns to the dorm.
Yuu is invited to Lilia’s going away party. Lilia asks Yuu to continue being friends with Malleus. Yuu then has a vision of the Thorn Fairy while they are awake. Other students comment that Yuu looks pale, but they assure everyone they are fine. Malleus arrives and causes a stir. Sensing he may overblot, the other dorm leaders try to stop Malleus, but he easily defeats them. He overblots and bestows a “blessing” to everyone on Sage's Island (including Yuu), putting them all into a deep sleep with his unique spell.
Yuu and Grim wake up in a locked room that resembles Ramshackle, except the room houses several animated objects. They finally meet Mickey face-to-face. He explains that he comes to this room while he is dreaming; though, he doesn’t know who created it. He describes it as leaving his physical body to enter the dream world. Yuu speculates it is happening to the Ramshackle pair now.
The room starts to disintegrate as Mickey wakes up and disappears. Black, blob-like phantoms attack Grim and Yuu. They are rescued by Silver. He uses his unique spell to transport them into a different dream. He continues to explain the dream phantoms are attempting to send them into a deeper sleep. After discussing the events with Silver, it’s concluded the best course of action is to find Lilia because he may know a way to stop Malleus. Yuu finds out Silver cannot dictate whose dream he enters with his unique spell, so they continue to explore the current one they are in.
The group learn they are in Sebek’s dream, where the Diasomnia students are celebrating Lilia and Malleus starting their fourth-year internships. Yuu questions the dream because Lilia is no longer quitting school. Silver convinces Sebek that they are in a dream and need to stop Malleus. This angers Malleus, revealing he is awake and traveling through the dreams to watch over the students. The group retreats to another dream with Silver’s spell. They end up in a dark forest and are surrounded by masked soldiers.
The soldiers’ masked general appears, demanding to know who they are. Yuu identifies the group as NRC students. He tries to run the students off, but Silver thinks he recognizes the general. He convinces the general, soon revealed to be Lilia, to let the group stay. They all realize Lilia is reliving events in Briar Valley from four hundred years ago; though, the timeline does not match. Lilia is trying to protect Briar Valley’s royal family from the Silver Owls army, especially Malleus’s mother and her dragon’s egg (unborn Malleus).
Yuu continues to travel with the group, learning more about Lilia’s and the Draconia family’s history. Sebek and Silver are deeply affected by the events which summon the dream phantoms. Yuu helps keep the phantoms from sending the two into deeper slumbers. At some point, the students are separated from Lilia, who leaves to protect an unhatched Malleus. Before going to look for Lilia, the NRC students reaffirm their desire to stop the Malleus of their world and rescue Sage's Island.
