Episode of Savanaclaw/Chapter 3
The third chapter of Disney Twisted Wonderland The Comic -Episode of Savanaclaw- was published in Monthly G Fantasy May 2023 issue on April 18th, 2023.[1] This chapter covers the second half of "Territory Breakthrough", "A Spelldrive Fight", "Encounter at Midnight", and "Sparks Flying" (Episode 2 Chapter 12-15) from the game.
Summary
Yuuka and Grim along with Ace, Deuce, and Cater arrive at Savanaclaw dorm to ask Jack some questions, but he refuses to answer. They later challenged Leona and the dorm members to a practice game, but they lose. In the middle of the night, Yuuka encounters Malleus, who has no idea who he is. On the same night, Jack unintentionally spies on Leona and Ruggie's conversation about how they are planning to cheat by injuring potential players from each dorm.

This chapter starts off with Ace, Deuce, Cater, Yuuka, and Grim arriving at the Savanaclaw dorm where they are looking for the first year named Jack Howl. They spotted him during his daily workout and they offer to protect him since the culprit might be after him. However, Jack declines the offer since he doesn’t need protection. After Jack left, several unnamed Savanaclaw members wanted to pick a fight with them. Yuuka volunteered to fight them on her own until it was interrupted by Leona and Ruggie. Grim remembers the hyena beastman who stole his favorite lunch and calls him tasty food since he doesn't know his name. Feeling offended, he properly introduces himself as Ruggie Bucchi. Yuuka also remembers Leona from the garden. Leona decides on a better way to settle down between their dorm and the outsiders by having a practice game. At first, Grim, Ace, Deuce, and Cater got the upper hand against Savanaclaw until Leona beat them in a single strike, thus winning the game. Leona, filled with confidence, demanded another round even though Yuuka and the others are still exhausted to play. Jack interferes and stops the game because he can't stand to watch this shameful display. Savanclaw members make fun of Jack for being a killjoy for ruining their fun. Leona approaches Jack and pats his shoulder and tells him all that machismo he got going for him is really great. Leona changes his mind and calls it a day since dealing with people is pointless. Before Leon and the other Savanaclaw members leave, one of them warned Yuuka and the others that the next time they trespass their turf again, they will be in for a world of pain.
After they left, Deuce and Yuuka thank Jack for saving their lives, but he denies it and claims he didn't save them. Ace and Grim complain about wanting to back to their dorm to clean out the mud and they are staving. Before they went back to their dorms, Cater tells Jack to be careful and Jack responds that they got no reason to worry about him.
At night, Grim fell asleep and dreams about the game. Yuuka, before she goes to bed, notices a shadow outside of Ramshackle's dorm. She decides to check it out and see who's here whether is an intruder or not. She unexpectedly meets Diasomnia dorm leader, Malleus Draconia. She has no idea who he is nor what dorm he comes from. When Yuuka asks him who he is, Malleus is a bit surprised that she doesn't know who he is, so he decides not to tell her since it's better she doesn't know. He tells her that she can call him whatever she chose even though she could later come to regret it. Yuuka remains silent as she finds him to be a weirdo in her inner thoughts. Continuing their conversation, Malleus has no idea there was someone living in an abandoned building and now he has to search for another ruins for his night stroll. In her inner thoughts, Yuuka wonders if the horned student is a ruined otaku. Malleus decides to leave for now before he uses magic to transport somewhere right in front of Yuuka leaving her a bit surprised.
Meanwhile in Savanaclaw dorm, where Leona continues to play chess by himself again. Ruggie enters his room to bring his dinner. Ruggie reports to Leona that he has already taken another job which pleased Leona. When he asks Ruggie if he did this for his own sake, Ruggie corrects him and says he did this for both of their sakes. He says they are in this together when it comes to wanting to turn the world on its head. Ruggie briefly recalls his past and how he tried to survive in the poor district he grew up. He recalls the hyenas who joined forces with the King of Beasts followed him because they wanted to improve their lot in life. This is the reason why Ruggie continues to follow Leona. Before Leona enjoys his meal, he orders Ruggie to hunt more discretely and don't leave evidence. Ruggie obeys his orders before he mentions that hyenas especially are not leaving even a scrap of their prey behind. When Ruggie gleefully asks Leona who should their next victim is from which dorm, Leona replies about the wolf skulking around and listening in on people's private conversations. Leona calls out Jack since he knows he's here and it was kind of tasteless of him to eavesdrop on them with those huge ears of his. Jack reveals himself to Leona and Ruggie, who has a troublesome expression. Leona asks Jack what he wants in the middle of the night while Ruggie teases him if he wants him to sing a lullaby. Jack gets straight to the point by asking Leona why he is the culprit and what's really motivating the ones behind all these attacks on campus. Without denying it, Leona decides to reveal his past to Jack. Two years ago before Jack enroll at Night Raven College, Savanaclaw were routine champions until they faced Diasomnia dorm in the opening match of the tournament and the outcome ended up the same as they were defeated. Their dorm, with its reputation for brutally eliminating their opponents, was completed like a kitten who'd yet to open its eye and that disgusting display was broadcast to the entire world. The dorm leader was branded incompetent and Savanaclaw's chances of being scouted by top companies or the pros went up in smoke. Jack correct Leona's words that he wasn't good enough. Leona agreed with him since they weren't taking this seriously and giving it their full effect until last year. Leona believes trying to fight that "monster" head-on without any sort of strategy was stupid. Savanaclaw is based on the King of Beasts' "spirit of persistence". Jack disagrees with him because the cowardly way is his sneak attacking people and it's wrong. Leona reminds Jack who he thinks this is for. He's only thinking about what's best for everyone. If they defeat Malleus and avenge their name, they are sure to win back public acclaim. He says if they don't win this year, Malleus will be inducted into the Hall of Fame and this is their last chance. Disgusted by Jack's goodness that he wanna throw over some shallow sense of justice before he asks him if he wants to destroy the futures of all his upperclassmen. Jack stays silent as he doesn't know what to say to him. Leona advises Jack to use his head to corner prey is what it means to hunt and nothing cowardly about it with Ruggie supports Leona's decision to cheat. Jack tries to reason with Leona that he can beat them if he gives it all he got and even now, he still remembers his play from three years ago. Before Jack can reach him, Leona interrupts him, harshly by telling him don't act like he knows anything about him. Jack's words do not reach Leona as he coldly explains no amount of effort he put into it will make a difference in the end. He threatens Jack to get lost if he wanna see the light of another day. Jack leaves Leona's room in the great disappointment of Leona as he has nothing to say to him.
When Ruggie asks Leona if he can take Jack out, he tells him don't since Jack has no proof and it would be a terrible waste of his talent. He orders Ruggie to keep an eye on Jack for now. After Ruggie left, Leona lay down on his bed thinking about Jack before remembering his older brother's words. He comments that Jack talking just like his older brother. The chapter ends with Leona negatively calling himself as "the hatred second place" in his inner thoughts before another drop of blot corrupting a magic crystal.

- In the game, the Savanaclaw dorm only includes beastmen and lacks humans until Episode 6 where it was revealed that Rook Hunt was a former dorm member of the Savanaclaw dorm. In the manga, it reveals there are some muscular and chubby humans.
- In the manga, Jack's student ID is shown on Cater's phone.
- Yuuka is almost about to fight the two unnamed Savanaclaw dorm members until Leona intervenes and stops them. In the game, they are almost about to fight Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Cater.
- In the game, Yuu does not participate in the practice Spelldrive game with Savanaclaw due to lack of appearance, but in the manga, Yuuka helps Grim and the others out with Spelldrive practice.
- In the game, Yuu decides to go outside at night because they were unable to sleep. In the manga, Yuuka was almost about to go to sleep until she spots a shadow outside and decides to check it out.
- Ruggie's past was briefly shown where he had a difficult life growing up in a poor area of Sunset Savana.
- After Ruggie left, Leona remembers his older brother which never occurs in the game.
