The chapter starts with Yuuta and Jack following Ace, Deuce, Grim and several unnamed students who have sea anemones on their heads. They all head towards the Hall of Mirrors, heading straight towards the Octavinelle mirror. Yuuta and Jack head inside and are transported into the ocean, where they are unable to breath until a giant bubble surrounds them. They notice that Octavinelle is the complete opposite of a dry and sandy area, like Savanaclaw. Jack expresses amazement over how cool Night Raven College is before he comes back to his senses and focuses on following the other students entering the Octavinelle dorm.

By the time they enter the dorm's entrance, they continue to follow them to the elevator, which leads up to the Mostro Lounge. They notice how many students with sea anemones on their heads are here. Suddenly, the Octvanille dorm leader, Azul Ashengrotto appears, making a grand entrance before everyone. Azul welcomes them by reintroducing himself as dorm leader of Octavinelle, manager of their lovely lounge, and the man they all will refer to as "master" from now on. Azul warns them that many have tried to challenge him and failed until they graduated, and now they shall act as his servants, by terms of the contract. Jack and Yuuta are surprised to learn this as Ace claims that the whole thing was a fraud. Azul recognizes Ace and reminds him of their arrangement and points out that they both did their parts, meaning it was perfectly binding and as long as he followed the study guide, he should have passed. Ace confirms that he did and Azul congratulates him, only for Ace to point out that he was mislead; Azul never told him that he made the same contract with so many other people, there's no way that they all could have gotten in the top rankings.

Azul explains that there is such a thing as "client confidentiality". The who, their circumstances, and what contract they signed. He won't divulge such matters that deeply concern his client's privacy. Furthermore, the contract's terms and conditions would have included a nondisclosure clause. He upholds that policy. Grim and the other complain about the magic they exchanged for the exam notes and demand that he give them back. Azul reminds them about the contract's rules: offer him one of their most cherished talents, and if they finish in the top 50 of their class, he will give it back to them, along with notes for the rest of their academic career. However, if they don't manage to place in the top 50, they will be his faithful slaves until graduation. Everything about them belongs to him; in other words, whether he restores their abilities is entirely his decision.

Jack is riled up, and he angrily tells everyone off. Azul spots that Jack lacks a sea anemone and warns him that they are in the midst of a staff meeting, so outsiders are not welcome. Jack refuses to leave, he's angry that Azul's contract ruined his desire to go head-to-head against guys who studied hard. Grim is touched that Jack is coming to their rescue, but Jack tells him that he's not planning to get friendly with scammers or guys who are forced to work for Azul and rely on others for help. Realizing he's on his own, Grim decides that the only thing he can do now is try to snatch the contract back and destroy it, making it void. The others agree and come together under the assumption that as a large crowd they could easily outnumber and overwhelm Azul. They used their magic to lift the furniture to throw at Azul, and Grim charged at him without magic. However, the contract Azul is holding blocks anything from touching him. The angered students charge at him without magic, leading Azul to summon Jade and Floyd to put an end to this.

The students are outmatched and defeated by the Leech twins. Yuuta is shocked that they were defeated within the blink of an eye. Jack explains it's because they rushed in without thinking. This defeat causes Deuce to realize how much he relies on his best magic; Ace comments that Grim is now just a tanuki without his fire magic, and Grim weakly reminds him that he's not a tanuki. Azul comments that their attempt to take it from him by force is rather uncivilized. They all signed a golden contract, a binding commitment that none of them has the power to destroy. No matter the magic employed, you're completely powerless to put a scratch on it. As long as they have an anemone atop their heads, they have no choice but to obey his commands. Azul's first order to them is to clean up the mess they made in the lounge. Then he will make them work on food prep. Azul orders the twins to train their new employee and they oblige, then he approaches Jack and Yuuta, recognizing them and which dorms they belong to. He tells them that they are welcome to take their leave. The chapter ends with Azul expressing hope that they will return as dear guests once the lounge is open, telling them that they are welcome anytime.
