Episode of Savanaclaw/Chapter 6

The sixth chapter of Disney Twisted Wonderland The Comic -Episode of Savanaclaw- was published along with Chapter 6 from Episode of Octavinelle in Monthly G Fantasy February 2024 issue on January 18th, 2024.This chapter covers "Start of an Uprising" and the first half of "A Strategic Stampede" (Episode 2 Chapter 22-23) from the game.

Summary

In the middle of the night, Yuuka has a third and final vision from the "Lion King," where Scar's followers start to doubt Scar as the new ruler. Yuuka, Jack, Ace, Deuce and Grim move to predict Savanaclaw's target at the Spelldrive Competition. Meanwhile, Leona gave Ruggie the potion Azul made for him and proceeded with the plan to get rid of Diasomnia's dorm.

It's the middle of the night and Yuuka has another vision based on the "Lion King". In it, Zazu complains about Scar's status as the current ruler. He would never have had to do this for Mufusa. Scar is demanding towards him, and just then three hyenas -Shenzi, Banzai and Ed- confront him. There's no food or water and they are hungry. Banzai complains to the other two that he thought things were bad under Mufasa. Scar, furious for being compared to his dead brother, yells at them to get out. Yuuka remarks that if he's going to get angry about being compared to his brother, maybe he should be trying harder.

The following morning, Jack wakes up Yuuka and Grim asks what brought him there. Jack explains how he was doing his morning run, and reminds them that today is the Spelldrive tournament. He's not about to let them oversleep. Grim becomes hyped about catching the culprit, and their reward of Ramshackle Dorm getting into the tournament. Before Jack leaves, he tells Grim not to go back to sleep, and Yuuka tells him to get ready. She wonders about Leona, and what he may have in store for them.

Ace, Deuce, Yuuka and Grim arrive at Side Street to find food stalls and visitors present for the Spelldrive tournament. While Grim obsesses over the food, Ace and Deuce complain about not being selected to compete this year. Jack made it into his dorms team, even though he doesn't like any of them. Deuce expresses amazement over a first year being selected for the team, and suddenly, Jack appears behind the boys. He remarks that they're taking this really easy. Deuce asks Jack what he's doing there, since the players should be getting ready for the match. Jack explains he was taking a run before the match and just happened to spot them. Grim is suspicious, since Jack mentioned that he was running earlier that morning. Jack changes the subject by saying he didn't come to check on them because he was worried, and he strongly denies it when they show suspicion. They can tell that he was worried about them. Deuce comments that Jack should worry about himself instead of them. Yuuka ensures Jack they are alright and will play their parts as planned, and he swears that they will throw a wrench into Savanaclaw's plan and confront them head-on.

Meanwhile, Azul, the head of the planning committee, walks along Side Streets to check on the various vendors. To make sure nobody is doing anything sneaky. He is joined by the Leech twins, Jade and Floyd. Jade informs Azul that everything is ready at the coliseum, and the athletes will be making their entrance in ten minutes. Azul congratulates them and Floyd asks Azul why the players' procession to the tournament grounds is starting from the east gate this year. Azul explains that it was a request from a "certain client", but he has not heard any details. Floyd guesses Azul is plotting something shady, and Jade thought it would involve the magic-amplifying potion he was making the other day. Azul excitedly comments that it is about time for them to make their way to the entrance, and look forward to something that will be happening.

At Savannaclaw, Leona gives Ruggie the enhanced potion and warns him that he has thirty seconds. entrusts him with their plan. He responds with confidence and Savanaclaw heads out.

  • Ace, Deuce, Grim, Yuuka and Jack arrive at the festival before Azul and the Leech twins.
