Leona tells the anxious Azul to make a deal with him, then he asks what he would give him in exchange for the contracts he stole. Azul offers him study guides, a graduation thesis, class attendance, every wish he could possibly think of. Leona pretends to think it over before rejecting his offer. Yuuta and Grim aren't going to let him sleep if they don't get Ramshackle back, they threatened to cause a commotion every night. He has no choice but to comply for the time being. He goes on to use his unique magic to turn the contracts into dust. Watching his contracts turn into dust causes Azul to fall to his knees in dismay, his entire plan has been ruined. Leona and Ruggie recall Azul's unique magic and remind him that no magic is flawless, he just made it look like that. They were only untouchable when they were in his hands, or that VIP room. They were only pieces of paper.
They prepare to leave Azul and the sandy remnants of his contracts as Ruggie brings up how easily Leona could have dealt with Yuuta and Grim's threats. He wonders why he's going this far to help them, but he figured it out; Leona made a contract with Azul. Leona smirks and reminds Ruggie that nobody likes a snoop. They continue to chat until overhearing the tantrum Azul starts to throw and are caught off by how differently he's acting. Azul weeps and angrily asks Leona how he could do this to him. Without his contracts, he'll revert back into that useless octopus he once was. He bites his thumb as despair and anger cause a black aura to form around him, immediately causing Ruggie to panic and blame Leona for being too rough. Ruggie attempts to calm him down, only for Azul to attack him and tell him to shut up. They couldn't understand how he feels, to be mocked like that. Suddenly, Azul goes silent, then he rises and begins to laugh while approaching them. If it's been taken away once, then he can take it away again. He raises his cane, revealing black aura flowing from the gem as he demands that they give their talents back to him.
Meanwhile, at the Atlantica Memorial Museum the guys continue to hurriedly swim to evade the Leech Twins. Floyd is so bored that he shoots past them to appear before Jack, and he teases him while wrapping his lower body around him to keep him in place. He reaches for the picture and just then, a flash of light distracts everyone. Once it fades they realize that the sea anemone have disappeared from Deuce, Grim and Ace's heads. The distraction gives Jack a chance to free himself from Floyd's grasp. Realizing that Leona managed to come through for them gives Yuuta and Grim a reason to celebrate, which catches the twins off guard. Deuce realizes that this explains why Grim was so hoarse that morning after he tells them that they gave Leona a preview of what they intended on doing if he didn't cooperate with them. The twins remark that they threatened him, but Jack points out that they were simply returning the favor the twins paid to them earlier by trying to sabotage them. Ace pulls out his magic pen and they see that they can use magic again, meaning that they can properly fight the brothers now. The twins realize that something must have happened to Azul and retreat in a hurry to find him. Jack holds up the picture while reminding the others that they need to return to land too, to show Azul that they have it.
At the Octavinelle dorm, Ruggie and Leona observe the wreckage surrounding them because of Azul. He's began to steal their special abilities.
