This is a page for the list of all of species that appear in the Main Story and Events.

Humans

Humans (人間, ningen) in Twisted Wonderland are beings which appear to be just like the humans of MC's World. The majority of humans are incapable of using magic.[1]

Ghosts

Ghosts (ゴースト, gōsuto) are the spirits of dead beings that remain in the world. They are usually only visible in areas where magic levels are high, such as Night Raven College. During Halloween, however, as magic is at its peak around that time, all ghosts become visible to the human eye. They only appear in the Main Story and Events.

Notable Ghosts

  • Ramshackle Ghosts - The ghosts that live in the Ramshackle Dorm. They enjoy scaring students after the building was abandoned for many years. They first appeared in Prologue Chapter 5.
  • Staff Ghosts - Night Raven College employs ghosts of famous chefs who work in the cafeteria to serve student's meals and teach the Master Chef courses. The staff ghosts first appeared in Episode 2-1 of the main story.
  • Eliza - A deceased princess of a kingdom betrayed and ruined in war. She later marries Chubby and becomes his wife. She first appeared in the event story of Ghost Marriage ~Proposal of Destiny~ Episode 3.
  • Chubby (Puffy in EN) - One of Eliza's loyal servants and friend who knew her for 500 years. He later marries Eliza and becomes her husband after he confesses his love for her.
  • Ghost Soldiers - The deceased soldiers who served Eliza for 500 years after they become ghosts. They first appeared in Ghost Marriage ~Proposal of Destiny~ Episode 1.
  • Ghost World Residents - Residents of the Other Dimension where ghosts live. They are dressed in Victorian era attires. They first appeared in the event story Scary Monsters! ~Endless Halloween Night~ Episode 2-1.

Power and Abilities

They have ability to pass through any object or living being, make themselves disappear and reappear at will, and float. They can't be seen through photos due to being spirits.

Ghosts are able to possess living people, but only people who are scared or surprised. The victim will feel cold after a ghost possesses their body. After a ghost leaves their body, the victim will be unable to recall anything about what happened during the possession.[2]

Beastmen

Beastmen are a humanoid species with animal traits, such as different types of ears and tails. Among the types shown in the story, there are lion, hyena, bird, wolf, and cat beastmen.

  • According to Leona, the women of the Sunset Savanna are much physically stronger and more strong-willed than the men.[3]
    • This follows the biology of many savanna animals, such as lions and hyenas, wherein the females are hunters and typically dominant in nature.
  • According to Jack, the wolf beastmen choose only one partner to care for for the rest of their lives and are wholeheartedly faithful to them.[4]
    • This is also similar to the biology of wolves as they are one of the animals that are most faithful to their mates.

Merfolk

The Merfolk (人魚, ningyo) are water-dwelling human-like beings. In order to go on land, the merfolk use a potion to shape-shift as a human.[5] Merfolk are more resistance to the cold temperatures than humans.[6]

Appearance

Most of the merfolks who possess the traits of both humans and fish: their upper body is generally depicted as human or humanoid, while a fishtail replaces the lower body. There are some like Leech twins and Azul took of them based on different types of fishes.

Fairies

The Fairies (also known as Fae) (妖精, yōsei) are a group of magical beings that vary in appearance, size, and abilities.[7] At Night Raven College, they are in charge of keeping the school's climate in balance. They show up infrequently performing school maintenance in the story and become the passive antagonists of the Fairy Gala event. Smaller fairies live in Faeland and are ruled by the Fairy Queen.[8] Larger fairies need a translator bell to speak with smaller fairies, otherwise, they will hear bell sounds instead of words.[9]

Appearance

Fairies range in size greatly. Some are small enough to fit in the palm of a human's hand, while others like Malleus Draconia grow to be 202 cm tall. Their appearance tends to reflect their main elemental traits and powers. Many fairies appear androgynous, and they sparkle because of the fairy dust they are always covered with.[10][11]

Fire Fairies

They have the ability to make fire. They first appeared in Episode 4 where a fire fairy uses their magic to create heat. They keep Night Raven College heated with their magic but without firewood, they will fade away.[12]

Water Fairies

They have the ability to make water. They first appeared in Fairy Gala event.

Flora Fairies

They have the ability to control nature. They first appeared in Vargas Camp event.

Crafting Fairies

Crafting fairies create tools for other faeries to change the seasons.[8]

  • Fairy Queen - The queen of the fairies. She makes her first appearance in Fairy Gala event.
  • Fairy Macy - A leader of the crafting fairies. She makes her first appearance in Fairy Gala event.
  • Malleus Draconia - A dragon fae.
  • Lilia Vanrouge - An unspecified fae.
  • Sebek Zigvolt - Half-nocturne fae, half-human.
  • Baul Zigvolt - Nocturne fae.
  • Meleanor Draconia A dragon fae.

Dwarfs

Dwarfs (ドワーフ, Dowāfu) are a small humanoid creatures.

Appearances

Dwarfs are short in stature and can be mistaken as children at first glance.[13] According to Gran, the dwarfs that performed at VDC are larger than most.[14]

Phantoms

Phantoms (ファントム, Fantomu) are beings that have been formed by those who overuse their magic and let their negativity "blot" their wands. Their aura and appearance are mostly pitch black.

According to Idia, phantoms are made purely of negative emotions and consume a wizard's magic until it "runs out." When that happens, the wizard's body disappears, leaving only the phantom behind. Usually, they are captured and sent to S.T.Y.X. but on rare occasions, they live in hiding among the wildlife.[15]

Disney Villain Phantoms

They are phantoms created from Riddle, Leona, Azul, Jamil, Vil's, and Malleus's negative emotions.

Phantom Miners

They are creatures who reside in the abandon Dwarf's Mines.

  • A red miner overblot that appears in the prologue. It seems obsessed with magic gems and appears to be based on a Dwarf from Snow White.
  • A green miner overblot as event final boss who appeared in Vargas CAMP! ~Spring Happening~ "Episode 5-15".

Phantom Titans

They are creatures who reside in the S.T.Y.X. Tartarus.

  • They appear to be based on the Titans Pyros, Hydros, and Lythos from Hercules.

Minor Disney Phantoms

They are lesser phantoms they were sealed within the lower level of S.T.Y.X. Tartarus.

Unnamed Chimera Phantom

A unnamed chimera who the players are fighting against before the story proper. The identity of the creature is unknown.

Tsums

Tsums (ツム, Tsumu) are plushie-like beings that resemble certain students of the Night Raven College. They first appear in Welcome to Tsumsted Wonderland!.

Appearances

Tsums are rotund plushies or stuffed toys with stubby little arms and legs. Tsums also do not have a mouth. They resemble with their counterparts, both appearance and personality.

Power and Abilities

Tsums can attack anyone by tackling for specific reason or despite how cute they are. For example, Riddle Tsum tackles the dorm students of Heartslabyul if they break one of the rules.[16] Another is when Epel Tsum tackles anyone if they call it cute.[17] Tsums also have an ability to change their size bigger or smaller as shown when Deuce Tsum grows bigger and bigger at the school cafeteria or when Deuce Tsum shrinks itself after it landed on top of Trey's cake by accident. They can also revert to their normal size.[18]
