MC

In Episode 4, he views them as someone useful for his plans and hypnotizes them to stay in Scarabia against their will. Although the Prefect was suspicious over how they couldn't say no to Jamil, they still initially viewed him as a good person who simply wanted the best for his dorm. Once Jamil's true colors were revealed, however, the Prefect's opinion of him changed, and they even went as far as reprimanding Kalim when the latter tried to deny Jamil's betrayal and pin the blame on himself.

Despite all that happened, Jamil and the Prefect are shown to be in amicable terms once they meet again in Episode 5. The Prefect even expressed worry when Azul and Jamil interacted with one another, as they believed Jamil still resented Azul for what happened at Scarabia. Jamil later admitted that he would still continue to make a name for himself, regardless of what the social hierarchy entails, and he mentioned the Prefect as one of the people he wanted to prove himself to.

In the events, as well as some of Jamil's voice lines, Jamil is depicted to be appreciative and fond of the Prefect. It is heavily implied in his Episode Lv Up voice line that he considers them as a friend, and he expresses worry over not being interesting enough to hang out with. In the Fairy Gala event, he complimented the Prefect's Gala Couture clothes, while he watched out for them in the Al'Ab Nariya event, when the Prefect's phone almost got stolen.

Ace Trappola

Jamil and Ace are in the Basketball Club together, with Ace usually acting as the stereotypical, troublesome underclassman, much to the former's exasperation. Jamil can read easily into Ace's schemes, and if it doesn't particularly affect him, he usually just leaves him be—one example of this being that time Ace tried to use Floyd's physical talents to his advantage during basketball tryouts, which later backfired horribly because of Floyd's mood swings. Jamil knew of this possible repercussion, but didn't warn Ace beforehand.

In Episode 5, Ace recalls Jamil teaching Floyd how to breakdance before, and asks Jamil for dancing tutelage. Jamil accepts after Kalim insists that they teach Ace and co., but he mentions that he himself doesn't particularly mind, as this would also help him practice.

Deuce Spade

Jamil and Deuce don't interact as much as he and Ace do, but Deuce often approaches Jamil for advice, as depicted in Episode 5, in the manga anthology, and their shared Masterchef event. Deuce sees Jamil as a reliable upperclassman and looks up to him for his skill, while Jamil—although rarely—is shown to appreciate Deuce's insight, such as when the freshman gave him an idea on what makes a dish appetizing in Jamil's Apprentice Chef personal story.

Jack Howl

In Endless Halloween, they meet when Jamil and Silver encountered a possessed Jack. Jack was taken over by a female ghost who considered the two sophomores as thugs, thus making Jack flail his arms around in defense. Jamil lampshaded how this made him difficult to fight, as Jack is incredibly buff. When Jack recovered from his possession, he didn't believe Jamil when he informed the freshman about how he behaved. Jamil also tried to interrogate Jack about what he remembered before he was kidnapped, but they didn't end up getting any helpful information.

In that same event, Jamil and Jack both got super into Silver's reiteration of his past, and Jamil scolded Jack for scaring them over nothing when the latter's tail movements made the nearby bushes rustle.

Epel Felmier

Jamil and Epel first met in Episode 5 during the VDC auditions, and they eventually became fellow members of NRC's team for said competition. Jamil knew of Epel's struggles with adjusting to the choreography (and to an extension, Pomefiore), as well as his animosity towards Vil, but he chose to stand at the sidelines and even stopped Kalim when he tried to interfere with Epel and Vil's fight. Despite this, Jamil is implied to have felt happy for Epel when the latter finally enjoyed dancing, and in Jamil's Endless Halloween personal story, he teaches Epel how to waltz.

Sebek Zigvolt

Jamil and Sebek share an interesting dynamic, as they serve as foils to each other, especially in terms of how they view servitude. Jamil condemns how he is bound to the Asims as a servant, while Sebek is hopelessly devoted to Malleus, even outright crying because he was jealous of Jamil and Kalim's master-servant relationship, lamenting over how he wasn't born before Malleus and thus couldn't take care of him since birth.

In Jamil's Ceremonial Robes personal story, Sebek once got lost in Scarabia during the night after the Entrance Ceremony. Jamil was strict with him as he was wary over Sebek being a potential assassin, and while he was understandably aggravated by this at first, Sebek eventually understood that Jamil was merely doing his job as Kalim's attendant. He admitted that he wished to be as diligent as Jamil was in his job, and from then on accepted Jamil's criticism and advice, making it apparent that Jamil is one of the few humans Sebek genuinely admires and respects. Sebek was also overjoyed when Jamil accepted to listen to him ramble about Malleus—in exchange for his full cooperation for event preparations in Sebek's Ceremonial Robes vignette.

In Jamil's Birthday Jacket SSR story, Sebek gave him a traveler's essay collection that he personally customized with tips and fun facts. Jamil appreciated this a lot because he'd always been interested in travelling all around once he was finally set free.

2nd Year Students

Riddle Rosehearts

Jamil and Riddle seem to have an amicable enough relationship with each other. As seen in Riddle's PE Uniform personal story, the Heartslabyul dorm head even monitors Kalim when Jamil is not around, noting to the latter that "he deserves a break once in a while" from monitoring Kalim. Additionally, in Jamil's Labwear personal story, Riddle is hinted to be quite trusting of Jamil's abilities—even back when Jamil's true potential hadn't been revealed yet—and he isn't above giving the Scarabian a heads-up about an experiment he himself failed at, so long as Jamil (and Azul, who was with him at the time) get to show Professor Crewel that the second-years truly are of high caliber.

Ruggie Bucchi

Jamil relates to Ruggie's struggles as they're both often burdened with the task of looking after their troublesome dorm heads—though they both agree that they find each other's respective situations more difficult than their own. Jamil doesn't think he could bear to put up with someone as hoity-toity as Leona, while Ruggie says that looking after someone as well-meaning as Kalim is harder. They both conclude that perhaps it's just a matter of compatibility.

As revealed over the duration of the main story, Jamil and Ruggie also possess similar unique magics, in that Snake Whisper and Laugh With Me can both manipulate whomsoever they are casted on...although Jamil's unique magic seems to take the "manipulation" thing up a notch. When Ruggie used his unique magic on Jamil in Episode 2, the latter notes the familiar sensation, making him realize that something was off, and that his injury was no mere accident.

Azul Ashengrotto

Jamil and Azul are both in Class 2-C, making them classmates. Jamil finds Azul to be quite troublesome as he often sees through him and urges him to show his hidden talents, despite Jamil's insistence that he is fine with being a simple "jack of all trades, master of none."

Azul's knowledge of the way Jamil and Kalim are make him realize that there's something off about the Scarabia dorm head's "tyranny" in Episode 4, as he knew Kalim to never resort to such tactics, and had always suspected Jamil to be capable of so much more than he lets on. Together with Jade, Floyd, Grim, and the Prefect, Azul investigates the truth behind the holiday incident at Scarabia, and soon foils Jamil's elaborate plan to oust Kalim.

After successfully deflecting Jamil's unique magic via a contract-acquired Bind The Heart (Floyd's unique magic), Azul puts Jamil over the edge by revealing the latter's true colors & making him believe that his undoing was broadcasted for the entire world to see—though Episode 5 promptly reveals that this was just a bluff, and that Azul was far too "benevolent" to do such a thing. Once Jamil regained consciousness after his Overblot, Azul admitted that he'd been interested in Jamil ever since they were freshmen, as everything about the Scarabian—from his grades to his overall student performance—was "average," as if it were all on purpose. Jamil controlling the flow of their earlier mancala match didn't escape Azul's observations as well.

He then offered Jamil a place in Octavinelle, claiming that his classmate would get along much better with someone like him. Naturally, Jamil vehemently declined this, and later on said that he'd never want to be friends with him. This doesn't stop Azul from trying to recruit Jamil whenever the opportunity arises, though.

Despite Jamil's animosity towards Azul, the two of them are often shown to make quite the great team. Their dynamic is a perfect amalgamation of "amicable" and "scheming," as they can interact just fine even though they're both constantly suspicious of one another. In the penultimate part of the Scary Monsters! event, Jamil starts a conversation with Azul even when he could've very well just ignored him, and as depicted in the 2nd TWST Anniversary rhythmic, he, Azul, and Silver share a toast with each other during the second-years' celebratory party at Ramshackle.

Jade Leech

Jamil and Jade are yet another interesting pair that serve as parallels and foils to each other, as they both are as alike as they are different. Their similarities consist of being the high-functioning vice housewardens of their respective dorms, having names that begin with the consonant "J", having known their housewardens since they were children, being naturally cunning and manipulative, as well as rarely ever basking in the limelight & often going along with the whims of those around them. What makes them differ from one another, however, is that Jade plays the role of a lackey willingly (as long as Azul doesn't bore him), while Jamil is bound as a servant to the Asims by generations and generations of hierarchy.

When all is said and done, Jamil and Jade are mostly amicable in their interactions—although Jamil isn't as close to him as he is with Floyd, and is shown to be constantly wary of Jade. He still holds a grudge on him for what Octavinelle pulled during the Scarabia holiday incident, it seems, as depicted by how he purposefully lets slip information about Jade's unique magic during Episode 6, much to Azul's distaste.

Floyd Leech

Jamil and Floyd are in the basketball club together alongside Ace, and considering Floyd’s attitude, their dynamic consists of Jamil having to begrudgingly tolerate Floyd’s mood swings & whims to not get on his bad side. Despite that, however, Jamil’s PE Uniform R vignette reveals that he couldn’t ignore Floyd’s atrocious attempts at breakdancing—something Jamil was very passionate about, apparently—and he later teaches Floyd how to spin on his head. Floyd is delighted by this, and the two spend the rest of their session dancing instead of playing basketball.

Apart from their interactions over the course of Episode 4, they have also interacted during Beansfest: Bean or Be Beaned, wherein Jamil was in the Monster Team, while Floyd was in the Farmer Team. In a spectacular turn of events, Jamil ends up being the one hunted by Floyd just as the event ended. The Scarabian would’ve been beat up by Floyd had Azul not intervened at the last minute, informing Floyd that Beansfest was over and that the Monster Team had already won.

As revealed in Jamil’s voice lines, mainly his Birthday ones, Floyd and Ace usually play pranks on him. They often throw pies at each other whenever one of them is the Birthday Boy, and it’s implied that the suspiciously modern NRC tradition of bestowing the “Gift of Fortune” was inspired from their food fights.

Floyd calls Jamil “sea snake” (“Umihebi-kun”).

Kalim Al-Asim

Jamil and Kalim have known each other since they were little, with the latter treating the former as his best friend. This sentiment isn’t reciprocated, however, as Jamil knows very well what they are—master and servant, bound by traditions and agreements made long ago, oppressed by an unfair hierarchy.

For generations, the Viper family has served the Asim family. Due to this, Jamil had to hold back in everything just so he didn't beat Kalim, which caused him to harbor negative emotions towards Kalim for many years. Still, despite this, his Dorm Uniform SSR personal story implies that he might care about Kalim more than his duty entails—it’s simply difficult to get over a grudge that’s manifested since childhood.

Jamil’s desperation to break free from servitude eventually led to his betrayal of Kalim. Using his unique magic, he manipulated Kalim into acting like a tyrant, thereby making him lose the support of the Scarabia dorm members. His plan to oust Kalim was just about to succeed when the Prefect, Grim, and Octavinelle trio intervened. When his true motives were revealed, Kalim was in-denial of what happened, and he insisted that Jamil would never do that as Jamil was supposed to be the only person who’d never betray him.

Hearing that, Jamil spiraled into a villainous breakdown, telling Kalim outright that he’d never once considered him a friend and that he’d always hated him. He went on about how Kalim was always so carefree, how he always did whatever he wanted without considering Jamil’s feelings, and he admitted that a part of him always wished Kalim would one day disappear. With that, he used his unique magic to control all Scarabia’s residents, throw Kalim and co. out to the ends of the deserts—and fell into Overblot.

In Jamil’s backstory reveal, it was hinted that Jamil was a possible contender for the housewarden position in Scarabia, but was set aside in favor of Kalim. When Jamil confronted the Headmage about this, Crowley instead told him to understand the decisions made by adults, making Jamil wonder if there would be anyone who understood him for once. When he questions this, a memory of Kalim telling him they always have each other’s back resurfaces, and he begs for it to stop.

After his Overblot, Jamil awoke to a teary-eyed Kalim saying he was glad that Jamil was still alive. Kalim admitted that despite how hurtful Jamil’s betrayal had been, he also knew for a fact that Jamil was the one there for him for all these years, and later told him to stop their master-servant relationship and start over as friends—which Jamil immediately rejected. He accepted being rivals, however.

Jamil now serves Kalim willingly until he sets him free. Moreover, despite Jamil's open dislike towards him, Kalim is shown to care about Jamil regardless and still considers him a friend, even after all the ordeal they went through. He also tries to be more considerate towards Jamil, which Jamil appreciates from time to time.

Silver

Earlier into the story, Jamil and Silver only ever interact because of Kalim. For instance, in Silver’s Labwear vignette, he and Kalim request for Jamil’s help on making a sleeping potion. They end up making a waking-up potion instead, much to Jamil’s exasperation, and the latter gets more confused when Silver’s strange affinity with animals is revealed. Jamil later asks Silver just who he really is–Silver replies that he wants to know the answer to that, too.

In Endless Halloween, Jamil and Silver are whisked away together into the Ghost World, separated from their other allies. As they navigated their way through the afterlife, Silver shared some stories about his past, with Jamil listening eagerly. Silver’s clumsy narration skills acted up often, though, to the point that Jamil mentioned later on that Silver reminded him of Kalim. Silver took this as a compliment.

Over the course of that same event, Jamil made a point to steal the mirror shards from every ghost they encountered–something that Silver didn’t approve of. Jamil managed to trick him by saying they’d return the shards later, although in eventuality, they never did. Despite all that, however, Jamil is still depicted to care about Silver, as evidenced by how he and Cater got worried for the Diasomnian in the latter’s Halloween SSR personal story. He also considers Silver as a formidable ally, in spite of all his complaints about how out-of-it Silver can be at times.

In the rhythmic for the 2nd TWST Anniversary, Jamil is shown inviting Silver to come his way during the celebratory party at Ramshackle. The two of them, alongside Azul, then share a toast together.

3rd Year Students

Trey Clover

Both vice housewardens of their respective dorms, Jamil often approaches Trey for advice regarding their duties, as indicated by Trey's Ceremonial Robes SR vignette. Jamil sees Trey as someone who is both reliable and capable, and isn't above requesting Trey for his skills and services whenever he is need of help. He knows very well that doing so wouldn't be free of charge, though, however amiable Trey might seem to be. This is evidenced by Jamil's Dorm Uniform SSR personal story, wherein he enlists Trey's help in cooking for Scarabia's banquet and ends up agreeing to prune Heartslabyul's rose bushes once his plight was over. As they cooked, Jamil learned that appearances are important in making dishes look appetizing, and Trey quite happily helped him decorate the meals they'd prepared. They also interacted a lot over the course of the Al'Ab Nariya event, as Trey was one of those invited to go to the Scalding Sands. In his Yasamina Silk SSR personal story, Jamil opened up to Trey a bit about his middle school days.

Cater Diamond

Jamil and Cater have a rather amicable dynamic with each other. They are similar in certain aspects, with the way they hide their true emotions behind a well-meaning facade, the way they constantly get pushed around by people that they have a love-hate relationship with, and the way they are both experts at reading the room and dealing with other people. Additionally, both of them seem to simply want their boundaries to be acknowledged and respected by the people close to them.

Cater, having been invited by Kalim to attend the Al'Ab Nariya event in the Scalding Sands, managed to interact with Jamil a lot during their stay there. In Cater's Yasamina Silk personal story, Jamil observed how Cater always was always so friendly to those around him, which gave him a gentle impression of Cater. Due to this, he decided to buy a soft, pink stole for the third-year as a souvenir—this suprised Cater, as this was the first time anyone had thought of him in that way. He later admits that feels thankful he discovered another side to himself.

In Cater's Birthday Jacket personal story, Jamil was his presenter, and he gifted Cater with skateboard stickers. During their interview on who Cater would want to have as a brother in NRC, Cater mentions at one point that it would feel nice to have a sibling who treated their family members with proper respect, without overstepping their bounds. Jamil agrees with this, and he says that the closer a person is to someone, the more difficult it is to maintain a proper distance.

Leona Kingscholar

Jamil seems to have an abhorrent impression of Leona, as depicted in Jamil's School Uniform R vignette, wherein he internally judged the third-year's tactless demeanor when they sat at the same table. This dislike of his eventually grew when Leona saw through Jamil's facade and deduced that Jamil could betray Kalim in the future. Since then, Jamil became as wary and suspicious of Leona as he was towards Azul, because both mages were aware of his true colors.

Despite his animosity towards Leona, however, Jamil still tries to remain on his good side. In Episode 6, while they waited for Riddle, Azul, and Vil to finish their simulations, he attempts to converse with Leona—although Leona initially ignores him, much to his chagrin. They are later paired up during their own simulation, in which they find themselves at the botanical garden and are greeted by Kalim and Ruggie. Jamil and Leona later realize that everything is fabricated, though, and they proceeded to battle the fake Kalim and Ruggie without hesitation. They are paired up again when STYX is hijacked by Ortho Shroud, and they head off to the second tower to defeat the Crystal Phantom Titan. Jamil is shown to be hesitant about teaming up with Leona, but is ultimately left with no choice.

Over the course of their partnership, Jamil seemed to be insistent on "protecting" Leona, much to the latter's chagrin. Jamil believed that he had to prioritize Leona's safety amid the situation because he was the secondborn prince of the Sunset Savannah. This "overprotectiveness" was something Leona found unnecessary, and he didn't take it well whenever Jamil tried to handle the challenges that came their way all on his own, as Jamil haughtily believed himself to be more capable than Leona was. Likewise, Jamil struggled to adjust to Leona's recklessness all throughout their journey to the depths of Tartarus, and jabs at him whenever he has the chance. At some point, Leona is fed up with this and begins chastising Jamil for thinking he's all that when he knows of his eliberate underperformance schtick that he kept up even after overblotting, pointing out that Jamil, in all actuality, held everyone in contempt because he believed that he could be better than them if he just had the chance, but never tried to gain such opportunities to do so, anyway. Leona raises the point that Riddle, Azul, and even Kalim, had more going for them as leaders because of their charisma and motivation, whereas Jamil continued to mope with the fact that he couldn't showcase his potential and hindered himself in the process. He later advised that Jamil should begin focusing on himself rather than others, because the way he blamed, hated, and refused to rely others all the time was essentially what made him unfit to be a leader to begin with. Jamil takes this advice to heart, and his dynamic with Leona becomes more mutual, as Jamil now tried to be more accepting of other's help. Leona's advice also led to the possibility of Jamil fixing his relationship with Kalim, since Jamil admitted to Leona that Kalim wasn't the sole person he hated for all this time; now, he is also more open to letting Kalim help him, regardless of the societal hierarchy.

It's implied that Leona gave Jamil such advice because he saw himself in Jamil, having mentioned at one point that he believed Jamil could still turn out differently than he did.

Vil Schoenheit

In his Dorm Uniform SSR's personal story, Jamil once asked Vil for advice on how to decorate Scarabia's upcoming banquet. He offered one roll of expensive fabric (courtesy of the Asims) in exchange of Vil's tutelage, and Vil soon proceeded to help with the designs. Much to Jamil's shock, however, the Pomefiore dorm head cut the textiles he'd prepared in two. This alarmed Jamil greatly, as these pieces of cloth were unbelievably expensive—but Vil later justified that one must be bold in order to come up with innovative outcomes. He also called out Jamil on how the latter tried to curry his favor by complimenting him pointlessly. After the two of them finished designing, Jamil left Pomefiore whilst grumbling about Vil's strictness.

Jamil also enlisted Vil's help in choreographing his, Kalim's, and Leona's performance during the Fairy Gala event; with Vil being just the right person to whip them into shape. Despite performing flawlessly, however, Jamil wasn't exempt to Vil's criticism, as Vil had realized how Jamil seemed to dance without passion. Jamil took this critique well, and urged himself to resolve this flaw of his. Eventually, in Episode 5, Jamil was accepted into NRC's VDC team as one of their main vocals. The main vocalists were selected by Vil himself, proving how Vil—in actuality—recognized Jamil's potential. They began to share a more amicable dynamic over the course of their team's training.

Later in the story, when Vil apologized for the trouble he caused because of his Overblot, Jamil was one of the VDC members who tried to dissuade him from the guilt he felt, justifying that Vil hadn't hurt anyone yet. Both Jamil's and Vil's experiences with Overblot also seem to parallelize each other, as their Overblots were brought forth by unfair expectations limiting them from reaching their full potential, and they both had one person they directed all their hatred and envy onto. The only difference is that—as Jamil had pointed out—Vil didn't get to hurt Neige, while Jamil had already hurt Kalim.

Rook Hunt

Jamil and Rook are both vice housewardens of their respective dorms. In Episode 5, they became fellow members of NRC’s team for the Vocal-Dance Competition. Rook often praises Jamil for his many talents and skills, making him dub the Scarabian as “Monsieur Multi-skilled.”

Jamil, on the other hand, gets annoyed by Rook's perceptive and intrusive behavior, and he doesn't take it well when the Pomefiore vice leader insinuates that what Kalim and Jamil had transcended that of master and servant. Despite this, in Endless Halloween, Rook says that they resonate with each other in that both he and Jamil pay extra attention to their dorm leaders.

Idia Shroud

Jamil is one of the few people in NRC that Idia has relatively no trouble dealing with. As Idia stated in his Birthday Jacket SSR personal story, Jamil greets him whenever they meet but never starts any unrelated conversation besides that—this respect is something the Ignihyde housewarden appreciates.

In Jamil’s Fairy Gala SR personal story, the two of them have also bonded over The Fates before, with Idia teaching Jamil how to “hit it” whilst watching The Fate’s live concert. This encounter led to Jamil rediscovering his passion for dancing and thus enabled him to give his best performance during the gala. Idia is later revealed to have been watching said performance via drone; and with a fond smile, he congratulated Jamil for a job well done.

Malleus Draconia

Being well-aware of his place in the social hierarchy, Jamil struggles whenever he interacts with Malleus—the future king of Briar Valley. He constantly walks on eggshells when in the midst of the Diasomnian housewarden, carefully taking actions that won't rouse his anger or distaste, and is often exasperated by him the same way he is towards everyone else in Diasomnia.

In Kalim's Ceremonial Robes SR vignette, Jamil was troubled by Kalim's carefree regard towards Malleus, although Malleus didn't really mind. In the Al'Ab Nariya event, Jamil also tried to convince Kalim not to bring Malleus along when the fae was invited in Lilia's stead, his reasoning being Malleus' safety possibly getting compromised if anyone were to find out that the fae prince was at the Scalding Sands. Despite his logic, however, Malleus was subtly enraged by this, and he questioned Jamil if he was unwelcome to go with them—all while he summoned a storm to occur not too far from their group, prompting Jamil to allow him to join.

Jamil's exasperation towards Malleus continues throughout that same event, spanning from Malleus attempting to breathe fire while they're inside the Asims' limousine to Malleus getting lost over the course of their tour. Thankfully, Jamil managed to resolve the latter by planting a GPS tracker on the Diasomnian beforehand; Malleus doesn't get angry when he finds out later on, because he doesn't know what a GPS tracker is.

Still, despite all that, Jamil's efforts to ensure their guests' enjoyment didn't end in disaster, and Malleus was shown to be grateful for having learned a lot about the Scalding Sands' culture. He also complimented Jamil when the latter first appeared wearing his Yasamina Silk outfit.

Lilia Vanrouge

Jamil and Lilia are fellow vice housewardens of their respective dorms, although Jamil seems to be wary of the latter—and for good reason. He can't figure out what's going on in Lilia's head. This is exemplified the most in Jamil's Beansfest R card vignette, wherein Lilia catches on to Jamil's shawarma plan and even offers to help him in cooking it, much to the Scarabian's horror. Jamil later admits that Lilia would certainly make a powerful ally, if it weren't for his unpredictability.

Staff

Dire Crowley

Jamil doesn't view Crowley any differently than he does to most adults around him—he looks at him with disdain, and he doesn't hold the NRC headmaster in high regard. This also further spurred him into betraying Kalim. Despite all that, however, Jamil is still shown to be respectful to Crowley for formality's sake, and also because he doesn't want to make an enemy out of him.

Mozus Trein

Not much is known about what Jamil thinks of Trein, but the latter certainly has a positive impression of the Scarabia vice housewarden. Trein shares to Sam during the Scary Monsters event that, amid all the chaos, he was the least worried about Scarabia. Kalim is too magnanimous to cause a fight, and if trouble really were to occur, Trein believed that Jamil would swiftly be able to deal with it.

Divus Crewel

Jamil enlisted Crewel's help alongside Vil during the Fairy Gala event, leaving up the costumes and makeup to him. Not many interactions between them occur in-game besides that, though it is clear that Jamil takes alchemy classes under him, even excelling at a challenge he'd given Class 2-C, as revealed in Azul's Labwear SR vignette.

Ashton Vargas

If Azul's PE Uniform R vignette is anything to go by, Jamil doesn't hold Vargas in a high regard, and for good reason. Vargas assigned him to teach Azul how to fly over the course of the personal story, and even threatened to give Jamil a failing grade if he couldn't fulfill his task. Despite this, it's also mentioned that Vargas acknowledges Jamil as the best flyer in Class 2-C, and makes him teach Azul precisely for this reason.
