Episode 3-6: Hidden Treasure is a Staple of Places Like This

Riddle
Riddle

Oh, there's a small building here. Is it a mausoleum?
Ortho
Ortho
It's definitely suspicious. Maybe the ghost that ran away earlier is hiding in there!
Ruggie
Ruggie
I mean, it doesn't seem locked. May as well have a look inside.
Riddle
Riddle
I'm certain we just entered a building…yet we're somehow back outside?!
That door must have been connected to a completely different space.
Ruggie
Ruggie
The door's already disappeared, too. Trust the Land of Ghosts to be capable of wacky stuff.
Ortho
Ortho
There's a gate over there. Let's go check it out!
Riddle
Riddle
There's a number of small houses dotted about… It seems like a village of some kind, but it's not terribly large.
Ortho
Ortho
They're all so run-down, they look ready to fall apart at any second…
I hope Yuu and Grim are safe.
Riddle
Riddle
Yes... I was worrying about that, as well.
Ruggie
Ruggie
Hey, don't tell me you both ended up thinking of Yuu just 'cause you saw these run-down houses?
Well, it is true that they're all in a pretty similar state to Ramshackle. They're clearly not new, and I don’t see anyone around… Whoa!
Look over there! Towards the plaza down the road.
Ghost A
Ghost A
Where… Where are the mirror shards…?
Ghost B
Ghost B
We must find them swiftly so we can deliver them to Their Greatness!
Ortho
Ortho
Ghosts… So many of them are gathered.
Riddle
Riddle
From the sounds of things, they're searching for mirror shards here, too.
Alright! Let's pin them down and question them about—
Ruggie
Ruggie
Stop!
Riddle, we don't even know how many ghosts are here. If we just blindly rush in and beat 'em up, who knows if we'll last!
Ortho
Ortho
I agree with Mr. Ruggie Bucchi.
We don't have an endless supply of mana…and since there's no electrical supply, my battery has a limit, as well.
Limiting our output will increase the chances of survival for not just us, but also my brother and all the other disappeared students, as well.
Riddle
Riddle
You do have a point. …Then how about this?
What we should be searching for right now is any important clues that will lead us to the mastermind of all this.
In other words, the mirror shards that were mentioned in that invitation.
We should avoid pointless fights with ghosts who don't have any of those.
Instead, we should find them before they get the chance to.
We'll aim for the Halloween party where the mastermind awaits while saving our energy as much as possible.
And then, we'll cut off the source of this evil directly.
Ortho
Ortho
That sounds good! That way, we can interfere with the ghosts that are searching for the mirror shards, too.
Riddle
Riddle
Okay then. Then let us begin our search in this deserted village for some mirror shards.
Ruggie
Ruggie
Heck yeah!
Riddle
Riddle
…Why do you look so happy, Ruggie?
Ruggie
Ruggie
Shishishi. We're about to go on a treasure hunt in abandoned buildings! What could be more exciting than that?
Hidden treasure is a staple of places like this!
Riddle
Riddle
Treasure?
As you just said yourself, this town was abandoned. You aren't going to find the kind of treasure you're after here.
Ruggie
Ruggie
C'mon, Riddle, don't tell me you don't get it? This is practically any kid's dream!
Riddle
Riddle
Th-Their dream?
Ruggie
Ruggie
Yeah! Old graveyards, museums lacking all sign of life, dirty swamps, abandoned towns…
It's always in these kinds of empty places that the entrance to riches lie!
Ortho
Ortho
Ah, are you talking about a treasure hunt?
Big Bro plays a lot of adventure games where the main character is a treasure hunter.
You have to traverse through the sea, through the desert, through forests, meeting new party members and finding hints along the way… It's so exciting!
Ruggie
Ruggie
Yeah, exactly! And then the party end up with bountiful riches by the end… Ugh, it makes me so jealous.
Back when I was a kid, there was this comic that everyone in the neighborhood shared that was like that. I always wanted to have an experience like that one day myself.
Just deciding for yourself that there's no way a place is hiding treasure is how you end up losing that chance to find it!
Riddle
Riddle
Really? I can't say I fully understand it, but…
Ruggie
Ruggie
No point just sitting around thinking about it! Let's start with this house here! The roof looks about ready to collapse at any moment.
Ghost C
Ghost C
GYAAAAAAH!
Riddle
Riddle
Wait, a ghost?! They were inside the houses, too?!
Ghost C
Ghost C
H-How dare you break in to a lady's house without permission.
Ruggie
Ruggie
Huh? You're living here?!
Ghost C
Ghost C
You thieves! Trespassers! I'll get you for this!
