Episode of Scarabia/Chapter 5

The fifth chapter of Disney Twisted Wonderland The Comic -Episode of Scarabia- and was released in the Manga UP Japanese version. This chapter covers the second half of "A Family's Fate" , "Out the Door" and the second half of "On the Seafloor" (Episode 4 Chapter 18-20) from the game.

Summary

Yuuna and Grim discovered that Jamil and Kalim shared a history, which explained why Jamil couldn't challenge Kalim for the dorm leader position. Later in the middle of the night, Yuuna and Grim make their escape.

Yuuna recap from the past chapters, where they are held captive against their will by Scarabia. They are forced to hardcore training along with the unnamed Scarabia dorm members and Jamil by the brainwashed Kamil.

In the evening, Jamil gathered everyone together to discuss Kalim. When one of the dorm members expressed concern about Kalim, Jamil explained that Kalim was asleep because he had served him some soporific herbal tea, and he should be in a deeper sleep than usual. Jamil recaps all the horrible deeds that Kalim did to them, such as forcing them to stay during winter break, and harsh training from morning until night. The dorm members are furious and demand that Jamil stop him, he stated he did, but Kalim refuses to listen to him. Yuuna steps in and suggests that they don't just go whining to the vice dorm leader, but complain straight to Kailim if they have problems. However, some of them are objective about Kalim's sudden change in behavior. They reminded them of how Kalim had helped them with their troubles and trained them. An unnamed Scarabia dorm member admits that even though Kalim is a little careless, and he can be unreliable sometimes, all of them liked Kalim a lot. Jamil agrees that Kalim is a good dorm leader, treats everyone equally, and does not look down on others. Yuuna asks Jamil if he should take Kalim to see a doctor, and Grim thinks he's been acting differently one moment to the next. Grim suggested that Jamil challenge Kalim for the title of dorm leader. However, Jamil can't go against Kamil due to their status as master and servant for both of their respective families. He reveals that his family, the Vipers, has served the Asim family for generations. If a member of a Viper family goes against the Asim, there would be serious consequences. Which is something Jamil doesn't want to risk, and that's the fate of those born into the Viper family. Another dorm member protests about not wanting Kalim as dorm leader anymore, since it goes against the spirit of Scarbaria. When Yuuna asks them what the "spirit of Scarabia" is, Jamil explains that the spirit of Scarabia is the mindfulness of the Sorcerer of the Sands. According to him, at Night Raven College, a requirment for becoming a dorm leader of one of the seven dorms is being "the person who best embodies the dorm."

Differences Between Manga and Game

• A flashback of Ace and Deuce being defeated by Riddle from the Heartslabyul arc is shown.
• In the game, when the brainwashed Kalim orders everyone to train harder, his menacing frown is displayed. In the manga, he is shown with a wicked smirk, something that he never showed in the game. It is due to the limited facial expressions Kalim displays in the main story.
