Leona recalls his dark past throughout his early life since he was born. He overheard the servants talking about how they admired Falema but feared Leona because of his ability to turn anything to sand. Though Leona could imagine if he were the ruler instead of his older brother, then the servants wouldn’t fear him. He has already accepted his fate since he can’t be like his older brother, no matter how much he tries.
Leona is approached by Kafaji, who announces Falena’s arrival. Falena demanded to know why Leona didn’t attend today’s ceremony for the entire nation. He “apologized” to him for sleeping. Falena states that showing the people the face of their future ruler is essential, but Leona is not impressed. He thinks that the anniversary of the day that the despised second prince had his claim to the throne destroyed forever, which Falena objected to his claims. Leona continues, stating that there is no advantage to merely being born first. Falena tries to reason with him by saying that even if he will not be king, he's intelligent. There's so much that he can do for this country. He refuses to listen to his older brother, rudely telling him that if this country were to select its kings based on intelligence, he might try it before he leaves the room.
In his inner thoughts, Leona wonders why he has to feel this way, just for being born a little too late. No matter how hard he studied, no matter how adept he became at wielding magic, from the moment he was born until the day he died, no one will ever see him as better than his brother; he will never be king. He questioned himself on why was he was born as a second prince.
The scene shifts to Leona transforming into his Overblot self to confront a shadowy memory of his older self, who is sitting on the throne. He violently killed him in pieces. Leona's final thought was, "Why will he never be the best, and life is unfair?" He is seen at the top of the cliff in the Outlands, staring at the moon with an evil grin. Before he could try to reach it, he heard Jack's voice and his dream ended, and he woke up, where everyone gathered around him.
