Episode of Savanaclaw/Chapter 10

The tenth chapter of Disney Twisted Wonderland The Comic -Episode of Savanaclaw- was published in Monthly G Fantasy February 2025 issue on January 18th, 2025. This chapter covers the first part of "Ambitions Aired" (Episode 2 Chapter 26) from the game.

Summary

Yuuka attempts to save Ruggie from Leona even though he is unstable due to his overuse of magic. When Leona is about to sand blast her, Jack uses his Unique Magic to transform himself into a wolf and save Yuuka. Jack catches Leona off guard, and Riddle uses his Unique Magic on Leona to seal away his magic. However, when Lilia tells Leona that he could never beat Malleus to his face, Leona gets corrupted further and manages to break free from Riddle's magic. As a result, he fully overblots his magic and transforms it into his overblot form along with his phantom, preparing to fight against Yuuka and the others.

This chapter starts with Yuuka and Grim witnessing Leona about to kill Ruggie. Yuuka, who couldn't stand by and watch, decides to save Ruggie from Leona. However, Leona knew she would try to save him, so he took an opportunity to sandblast Yuuka. Jack uses his unique magic to transform himself into a wolf and save Yuuka in the nick of time, which surprises everyone. Jack attacks Leona in his wolf form to leave him off his guard, resulting in Riddle using his Unique Magic on Leona, concealing his magic. Ruggie is still in bad condition from being exposed to Leona's King's Roar, and he has to be supported by Yuuta. At the same time, Silver and Sebek carry the wounded Savanaclaw dorm members to safety. Furious about being collared, Leona angrily accuses Jack of using a transformation potion even though it is forbidden. After Jack transforms back to his old self, he explains that his Unique Magic, Unleash Beast, gave him the ability to transform into a wolf. Leona mocks him for having Unique Magic into a real pup.

Jack confronted him about telling him that he's the main reason why he wanted to attend Night Raven College. Not just him, but Ruggie and the others in their dorm. They admired Leona's overwhelming strength and believed in him, so they followed him this far. Jack asks where the "him" he admired so much, but Leona shut him up by rudely telling him not to pin all of his dreams onto him. Riddle demands Leona why he is doing this since he realizes that he is not in any position to be saying this, but it's unbearable to see him like this. Leona gets annoyed by Riddle's lecture like his older brother. Lilia starts to taunt Leona by mocking him for being the kind of Savanna, saying that he could never become king due to the talent and order of his birth. He goes as far as taunting him that living in idleness because he will not be rewarded, lashing out at his subjects when things go wrong, that narrow-mindedness, to think that he would ever become king with so little ability, to think that he would ever rival Malleus is laughable. Lilia warns Leona that if he were to take down Malleus, he will never be a true king unless he can dispose of the rot of his care. This was the final push for Leona to send him over the edge completely. hat Lilia senses isn't magic, but evil negative energy. At the same time, Leona manages broken free from Riddle's signature spell. Enraged, Leona admits he have been despised since the day he was born, without a future where he belong no matter how hard he try, nothing will ever come for it. He calls this agony, despair, and none of them will understand him. Suddenly, Leona unleashed great amount of magic results in him fully overblotting. During Leona's transformation, in his inner thoughts, he tells himself it's over and this world might as well turn to sand. The chapter ends with Leona in his Overblot form along with his phantom prepare to fight everyone.

Differences Between Manga and Game

• Yuuka tries to stop Leona from killing Ruggie by charging at him despite Leona being a dangerous magic user. In the game, Yuu does nothing but watch Ruggie and the other dorm members slowly turn into sands by Leona's Unique Magic. This results in Leona almost hurting Yuuka.
  • Jack transforms into his wolf form to save Yuuka from doing something reckless. Jack decides to save his dorm members from being tortured by Leona's Unique Magic in the game.
• Like Riddle and Azul from the previous mangas, Leona has an overblot transformation sequence, except it is short but more vicious.
  • After fully transformation, Leona displays a wicked grin instead of looking angry like in the game.
