Episode of Octavinelle/Chapter 14

The fourteenth chapter of Disney Twisted Wonderland The Comic -Episode of Octavinelle was published along with one chapter from Twiste 4-Koma in Monthly G Fantasy January 2025 issue on December 18th, 2024.. This chapter covers the second part of "Reduced to Naught" (Episode 3 Chapter 33) from the game.

Summary

Fully consumed by blot, Azul undergoes a transformation and manifests a phantom that bears a resemblance to Ursula. Azul uses his newfound power to attack anyone in his way and steal their magic. Jade and Floyd devise a plan to defeat Azul.

The guys are shocked witnessing Azul's drastic transformation due to overblot; his legs replaced with tentacles. A large phantom manifests behind him and Azul strikes, but Leona surprises them by using magic to summon a barrier of sand to protect them from harm. From the bubble he and Ruggie reside, he warns them to escape while they can, then explains what the phantom represents when Floyd expresses confusion. At this rate, if he keeps using magic then Azul's life will be in danger.

The overblotted Azul summons a large whirlpool to surround him, sea debris swirling within it. A large piece of rock pierces their bubbles, forcing the duo to separate. Ruggie gets pulled closer to Azul when suddenly, Jack transforms into a white wolf and bursts through it to save him. Ruggie is relieved as Deuce and Ace watch and praise him. Just then, they realize they are being targeted and to surprise, the Leech Twins appear in time to defend them. Azul attacks them and asks if they've had enough yet, but their response provokes him. While he's distracted, Ruggie uses his own unique spell in an attempt to control Azul for a moment. He's too strong for him to hold it much longer, and Leona assures Ruggie that he can stop now; revealing himself to be above Azul. He dries up the water and forms the sand into rocks that fall down on him.

Azul remains persistent and pulls himself from the rubble, giving chase after Leona. This gives the twins a chance to think up a plan realizing he's focused on him right now. Floyd asks Jade to leave it to him, and he uses his unique spell just when Azul appears to have reached Leona, deflecting his attack. Floyd then lures Azul into chasing after him if he wants to have his power. This works and Azul follows Floyd towards an old ship, where he informs him that in doing so, he left himself wide open. Azul is confused and before he can react he realizes the glint coming from inside the ship is Jade, and he blasts him with magic.

Differences Between Manga and Game

• In the manga, Azul's full transformation sequence into his overblot form is shown, like Riddle's was from Episode of Heartslabyul.
• In the game, both Azul's overblot form and his phantom manifest at the same time, but in the manga it appears separately.
  • Rather than Azul's phantom manifesting from his body, it manifested from black ink and smoke in the water.
• This is an extended boss fight against Overblot Azul.
  • Jade delivers the final blow on Overblot Azul at the end of the chapter.
